My dear Jeremy, perhaps the description on VRBO regarding the possibility of a garage might not have seemed clear to you, but I assure you that in 8 years of activity all the other guests who came by car have perfectly understood that the garage was neither on site nor included in the price, which is something that, moreover, before your arrival, I specified to you, indicating the cost, in the VRBO messaging service; if I agreed to pay for it for the whole week it is only because I saw that you were very tired and confused. On the other hand, you had made the reservation for 2 people, while there were 4 of you and therefore you should have paid for 4. Didn't you understand this too? The apartment overlooks the courtyard of an 18th century building of great architectural value and this is specified in the description where I also say that it is not very bright, just as in the photos you can see the ancient grates of the window and one of the balconies. Didn't you read the description or see the photos before booking? I am very sorry that you were not satisfied with either the apartment or the neighborhood which, as you can see from all the other reviews, are always highly appreciated by other travelers, but you can't please everyone! I only advise you, for the future, to read the ad before making a reservation! As for the archaic door, it is a solid wood door, as befits a 1700s building and the lock worked before your arrival, during your stay and even after your departure. Only one morning, it was the third day of the 7, your children, who you had left alone in the house and had locked themselves in, couldn't open, I don't know why, but you called me and even though it was 7 in the morning in less than half an hour I was there. Magically, however, the door had already opened, you had left and when I asked you via Whatsapp for permission to enter with a locksmith to have him check the correct functioning of the lock, you denied it. Fortunately, neither I nor the other guests who were there after you encountered any difficulties. And here's another little tip: if you really have to leave your children alone at home, bring a set of keys, since they were provided to you! Anyway, I have to thank you for the nice publicity you gave me among the hobbits. I love Tolkien and, like me, many people! Lastly, I would like to apologize to Fionna, who I have not had the pleasure of meeting, for having to leave her a terrible review, but the reservation was made using her account and therefore I could not do otherwise.
