The gite was in a lovely rural position with a beautiful view from the terrace. Everything was clean - showers, loos, floors etc. The host Michael was very kind to say hello as he was passing. The kitchen was very well equipped with two ovens and a microwave, and two fridge freezers. Our parents - 91 and 88 - were glad to have the bathrooms downstairs. The sofas were very comfortable and there were loads of chairs.

Beautiful farmhouse and relaxing stay

The farmhouse is gorgeous and in a lovely area where you can’t help but feel relaxed. The house was clean and inviting and had everything we needed for our family of 9. The children loved the space in the garden and the adults enjoyed the stunning views. The host Michael, welcomed us warmly and gave advise on where to visit which was very helpful. We would definitely recommend this property for all ages and close to beaches and amenities.

Perfect weekend in a very nice house

We spent a family weekend in the lovely house of Mickael. The house is very nice and comfortable, with all what is needed for 14 people. The outdoors are fantastic and the region is perfect for cycling, hiking and walking. Michael is a fantastic host, we spend some very good time with him when we met. We hope we can come back in the future.

Tremendous

Having stayed in countless gites over the years, I found this to be up there with the best. Spacious, spotless and equipped for everything, down to plastic plates and cups for the kids. Lovely quiet location, but within a mile or so of Samer which has all you need. I would highly recommend this to anyone, whether looking for a full holiday or just a long weekend as we have just enjoyed.

Lovely house in beautiful countryside

We had a lovely stay. Michael, the host, was there to greet us and helped us whenever we had a question. The house is very quiet. The only sounds we heard were the birds and sometimes the cows. Seaside towns are a 30 minute drive away. We will visit again.

Lovely rural getaway

It was a real pleasure staying at this holiday home in Tingry, France. The area was sleepy and rural, but only a short hop by car to lots of lovely attractions like Montreuil, Le Touquet, the beach at Hardelot, and the aquarium (Nausicaa) in Boulogne-sur-mer. The home itself was perfect for our extended family (2 kids of 3 and 7 years old, and 5 adults) with plenty of space for everyone to spread out. There was plenty of facilities as well for cooking, eating, and entertaining the kids in the house with the large garden, the swings, as well as cuddly toys and games available. Overall, it was a real pleasure staying here, and the owner was very helpful and communicative throughout! We would thoroughly recommend to other families or groups.

Les Tilleuls is owned and looked after by Michael who is originally from Hertfordshire, UK. He is the proud owner of three daughters and a Triumph motorcycle.
He's been hosting since 2005 and guests love him.

I discovered the village of Tingry in 1997 and bought an old apple orchard at the entrance of the village. In 2004 we built Les Tilleuls in it from scratch. My very own purpose built family holiday home! I wanted to create something that I’d want to stay in when going on holiday. It needed to be big enough to take all the family, very comfortable with quality furnishings. I “opened for business” in 2005 and were awarded 3 star accommodation ratings from Gites de France and the French Tourist board.
It does what it says on the tin. It’s built for holidays and getting everyone together in one place.

Great location, close to historical towns, glorious beaches and wonderful forests. Yet a peaceful rural setting. The house is fully independent with huge lawn gardens. There’s no one going to disturb you if you want a relaxing day in the garden and no one to disturb if you want a late night BBQ party!
You feel remote, but actually you’re very close to “civilization”. There are a whole host of visits, activities and attractions to enjoy whilst you’re here. There's enough to keep the entire family occupied, something for all ages and tastes. If you run out of ideas I'm on hand to help……..
My daughters loved the region as toddlers, children and teenagers. Now they’re enjoying it as young adults………….
Truly real France and real close if you’re arriving from UK. Under an hour’s drive from Eurotunnel or the ports and you’re here.... on holiday.
