Crich and beyond

The cottage was exactly as expected and the photos were accurate. Had trouble with gate so parked outside on the road, which was fine. Lovely coffee shop and bakery a few yards up the road as was other convenience shops. Great launch point for visiting area, with lots to do and see. Really enjoyed our stay.

Another great stay

This is the forth time we have stayed here and it is still perfect for our needs. It does cold at night in winter and it was very cold outside for our stay. It is lovely and warm downstairs, however the large bedroom needs more blankets on the bad which had been provided. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will return.

Cosy break in February

The cottage was just as described cosy, very warm and so convenient for the village for eating out at the pub and Indian restaurant. We did cook in the kitchen as well one night and all utensils and equipment were there that we needed. A lovely short break in February and some good walking routes despite the weather and it being wet underfoot in parts.

Excellent

The cottage is very welcoming and is equipped with everything that you may need. It is very central to the lovely village with shops and pub almost within touching distance. The off-road parking is a boon although there was always space on the road if more than one car was used. All-in-all an excellent stay and no doubt we will return as there is so much to see in the area and the cottage makes a wonderful base.

A lovely little cottage

This was a lovely little cottage with easy parking outside. The location was ideal for us visiting family in Crich. The only slight problem was that the living room and kitchen which had underfloor heating was lovely and toasty, but the bathrooms were very cold. This meant walking out of the shower and quickly getting dry and warm. This is an ideal place for families or couples who want time in the local area but off the busy track.

Great Location. Worth a trip

We had an enjoyable stay. The Location is great. Owners were very helpful, providing information on local activities/restaturants etc. We can thoroughly recommend the Pizza night at the local pub (The Cliff Inn). Property was very well equipped. Only thing letting it down was the lack of cleanliness from previous occupants. The Sofa cushions were covered in what looked like Cat hairs. It did not spoil our stay though. Thank you

Very quiet place

Lovely property only downside was that there was nowhere within walking distance to have a meal for our 35th anniversary. The local pub didn’t do food, the Indian was closed on the Monday as was the butchers and spar shop so we were unable to buy anything with which to make our own meal. Disappointing so we left a day early.

Sorry to hear your long weekend celebration was cut short. Although Crich has a good range of village shops, unfortunately most are not open on Mondays and the Black Swan is not serving food at the moment. However, there are facilities a short drive away.

Not quite what it said

Good clean cottage. Would liked to have seen details of how to get tv working and info on places ti eat and visit. This property was listed as having two bathrooms.I disagree there is a ground floor showeroom and a first floor toilet and wash basin. I mention this because we had our 14 year old grandaughter with us and wanted her to have her own bathroom this is why we booked this cottage.

Sorry John, You should simply have called and I would have guided you through the tv options and I thought you had received the cottage guide with recommended places to eat snd visit. 'Bathroom' appears to be a generic term on VRBO, but I will look to make it clear that it is a shower room / toilet downstairs and toilet up stairs. Best wishes, Roy

Lovely stone cottage with bags of character. Stairs might be a challenge for someone with mobility issues. Best to speak to Roy first if unsure. Easy parking outside the gates. We didn't attempt parking off road but had no issues parking on the road. Essential shops within a couple of minutes walk and a pub about 10 mins. Great area for exploring. We will be back for another visit.
