Amazing!

We had a great time! The place is very clean, warm and cozy. the view from the property is awesome!! It’s so close to the ski hill that you can come and rest in between. A lot of activities around the area. We plan to come again in summers!

Winter stay at Hidden Valley

This property was perfect for a weekend getaway to winter wonderland! Very clean, spacious, and exactly as advertised. We loved having access to a wood burning fireplace with a beautiful view as well as the proximity to the ski hill and spa! James and Susanne were incredibly responsive and shared a ton of recommendations for things to do and see in Huntsville. We would love to return in the future!

Cozy condo with a view

The property was clean, had everything we needed and perfect for our family of 4! Just a note, there are 3 flights of stairs so if you've got littles plan accordingly :)

Beautiful Property!

All of the amenities that were listed were available. The owners went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The only downfall was all of the hills…but that is probably because our family lives in the flattest part of Ontario. The beach was close by. Only a 2 min drive to Deerhurst (which we did several times a day for a dance competition). Highly recommend!!

Bridal Weekend

VRBO My family appreciated the home and family decor in the condo for our bridal weekend stay. The property was perfect for wedding preparations, hosting meals, and accommodating guests. We were fortunate to have spectacular weather to appreciate the beautiful lake view and time on the dock.

Comfy place near wildness

Property has everything for nice stay close to nature. Great hiking trails are just 15 - 35 min away. Fine dining is in near by resorts and city. Owners were easy accessible over text and emails. Natural wood fire place made our stay warm and cosy.

Autumn colours

Great space for us to have a small family getaway with our 2 & 4 yr old and their grandma. Loved being surrounded by the awesome fall colours and took full advantage of access to Hidden Valley resorts indoor pool. The multi level layout has plenty of stairs that make it less accessible for some, but worked for us.

Awesome chalet

We had a great time at Susanne and James chalet, all the comfort a big family needs. We were 4 adults and 3 kids and fit pefectly in the 3 bedrooms, the renovations they just did are awesome, the kitchen has everything one needs. Communication very good, Susanne answers very fast to all our messages. Overall a very relaxing week for us. Would be back if we can afford it, a bit pricey if you don't split the cost between families.

Great spot!

Our family very much enjoyed our time here. The place was newly renovated and clean. The layout is excellent, with a master bedroom on the 3rd floor, and two bedrooms on the 1st floor. The kitchen was well equipped. The beds were comfortable. And the hosts had gone out of their way to leave nice, welcoming touches. The only minor issues were that the heat pump at night was a bit loud in the lower bedrooms (I turned it off) and there was some ice on the front walkway (we walked carefully). All in all, a great spot that our family really enjoyed staying at.

A fabulous vacation

We spent 7 nights at the ppty. The ppty was great and very warm and inviting and the location is absolutely divine . Just sitting on the docks and having morning tea overlooking the lake is breathtaking. The owners took care of every little detail my son and his friends loved the nice gesture of leaving cookies and popcorn for us and drinks . The kids bedroom is equipped with multiple board games and their own Tv. Communication with James and Susanne is quick and efficient . We cannot wait to come back again.

A Wonderful Holiday Weekend

We stay at this rental for the Labour Day Weekend and we could not have been more pleased with our accommodations. There were 5 adults and 2 infants ( 26 and 7 months) and the quality of condo was top notch. The Kitchen contained any appliance/tool that you needed and the bed and linen quality was top notch. We all had wonderful sleeps. We make great use of the beach access and enjoyed the fire works on Sunday evening. There was nothing that we needed or wanted that was not supplied. The treats left by the owners were throughly enjoyed and, even on. short stay, the access to water and dryer was greatly appreciated. We would return again for sure.

March Getaway 2021

We spent 6 nights in Huntsville following our great holiday there in 2019. Communication with James and Susanne is quick and they are very efficient in providing all the detail you will need. The property is clean and well equipped. The wifi was excellent and we were able to do some part time work when we weren't skating or snowshoeing at Arrowhead or snowshoeing in Algonquin or Limberlost. The kitchen is fully equipped, the showers are hot and the fireplace is a nice touch after a long day outside in the cold. The neighbourhood is quiet and you will sleep well. It is a short walk to downhill skiing if that turns your crank. Thanks again Susanne and James for making your place available to us.

Perfect R & R getaway

I thoroughly enjoyed this condo/chalet and consider it to be the best winter rental that I have been to in this area. We were impressed with the description in the listing but we think it was even better than expected. The part that stands out from other rentals I have been to is the fact that they have fully furnished and supplied the premises—including allowing guests to use their provincial park pass and amenities at resort. There wasn’t anything I wished I had brought. Having access to a garage was also a nice perk! We spent time going for walks in Huntsville (Hunters Bay and Lions Lookout) and at Arrowhead PP—both very close by. Although we didn’t ski, the hills are very close and you can see them from the living room. I hope to return again!
