We chose Muro because: it is safe, it is near Otranto (even in Salento there are differences between areas, in our view this area is the safest, more elegant, people are more friendly and the sea shore is world class). Besides, being slightly inland means that the place is fresher and drier at night in the summer, not too crowded also during spring and summer, but also not too empty in the winter. If you feel in need of shopping and visiting one of the most beautiful cities of Italy, Lecce is only 20 min. away.
We chose this property because it has a large garden that makes you feel like you are in the countryside while you are in the center of the town. After the renovation (which has taken 7 years) the place is now quite special: you will soon feel the atmosphere of the place!

The location of the house is perfect. We are not on the water but, just a 15 minutes drive from the beach of Otranto. The views of both the interiors and the exteriors will impress the most sophisticated traveler. You will fall in love with the kitchen, the garden and the nice patiot! Some of you will not want to ever leave the pool area. Others will stick to the white long chairs near the pool or to the garden with under a nice tree to read and relax.

We have tried to add all the possible ingredients for a vacation 'our style': hifi, wifi, several fireplaces, ice machine, al fresco dining, art collection, big bathrooms, floor heating, 20 m. swimming pool, 2 kitchens fully equipped, five meter dining table (made by an artist from Rome), laundry room, keyboard and microphone. It is a verey relaxing place and quiet, the square is just a 3 minutes walk and it has 2 beautiful baroc churches and an old Palazzo of the Prince of the 16th century and nice ipogeo. In the square that is better to visit at night with the nice lights it has a nice bar to taste local pastry and nice coffee with ice. The restaurant of the square serves the best fresh fish of Salento and so you don't need to travel far to find local food. The town has everything walking distance: supermarkets, pharmacy, banks, bakery and newstand. The people are very firendly and it is a safe surrounding also for children that can walk around the town without any problem. Modern and sleek bathrooms and two well equipped kitchens. Ideal for those who love space, art and elegance. We like to collect art and you will find pieces around the house and in the rooms that give a bit of flavor.
The palazzo is beautifully furnished in a very cool Italian shabby chic style that I have come to associate with the very best design in this part of Puglia.
