We had an absolutely wonderful time. The location was so beautiful, Our dwelling was excellent. Anna was always so friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was interrupted sleep due to a smoke alarm.

Even better than the photos!

This was a lovely place for us to stay for three nights. Clean and spacious for six adults. Within walking distance of Castlemartyr's Main Streets and several shops and pubs. The property manager was very sweet and even left us a cake to welcome us.

Fabulous Stay

Had a fabulous stay during the summer for 3 weeks, A big shout-out to Anna - she is amazing and was always there to help out with any query or slight issue we had, the place would not run as smoothly and efficiently without her! Thanks again and look forward to coming back next year !

Picturesque Grounds

The location is grand! It’s a nice, easy walk in to town through picturesque grounds. Anna was a responsive and friendly host. The rental itself was nice enough and spacious. This is a good home base for day trips to visit other points of interest in County Cork.

Clean, warm and spacious. Lovely location. Great value. Overall great stay. Some hardware needed fixing (oven extractor fan) and some window hinges were loose/broken with gaps.

Castlemartyr 3 bed lodge

Lodge was very clean, peaceful and comfortable. Surrounding amenities were very good eg. Ballycotton cliff walk, Youghal and Garryvoe beaches, quad biking, restaurants, especially the convenience of The Hunted Hog and Carewswood Garden Centre. Lodge was well equipped for cooking as well. Anna and staff were very attentive and accommodating during our stay.

Great Property

Overall this is a great property & place to stay. We ran into a couple of items but the property manager cleared them up quickly. The only negative I had, is there are a few maintenance, cleaning items that should be looked after.

the location is excellent if you are attending a wedding at Castlemartyr and the surrounding areas are beautiful. everyone was extremely pleasant and helpful when i used th the shower the water was not draining and when we looked further the waste was clogged with hair etc maybe a double check of the bathrooms would sort this

Lovely stay - just needs a little tlc

Great surrounds - walled garden a lovely setting. Lots of space in the house - big bedrooms, lots of bathrooms. Living space fab. There were a few issues - eg one of the toilets being out of use and taps falling out the wall. Just needs a little tlc to get these sorted. Kitchen poorly equipped to actually cook - no oven gloves, exactly six knives and forks (although a lot of spoons!), and no oven trays - just the grill pan. Made it difficult to cook for the six of us.

Beautiful property with lots to do!

Our home at castlemartyr was beautiful. It was very spacious and the support from Martina and Anna was top notch! The resort was gorgeous and had a little bit of everything from lovely acres of walking trails, a spa, golf, restaurants and more. Given that this was all on property it was perfect for our family because my husband was able to golf one morning and I was able to go to the spa in the afternoon all while relaxing with our daughter in the house. It is within driving distance to Cork City, Cobh, Kinsale, and more. You can easily fly into Shannon or Dublin and reach this location. The small town had some restaurants and shops but larger towns and cities were close by if you are looking for more. We also got a family pass to Leahy’s Farm and our daughter loved it! Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great on that day but we stayed for a bit and then went in and had the most delicious honey comb ice cream! All and all this property and trip was a dream come true! We would definitely return!

Our Star at Castlemartyr

Anna from the management company was very helpful. We got turned around on our drive in and she dropped pin the location to help us. This 3 bedroom was great. Very clean and the grounds of Castlemartyr are second to none. Highly recommended.

Perfect family holiday, even in the rain!

The location was gorgeous and the house was perfect for a family holiday- extremely spacious and well appointed. The furniture was all in great condition and comfortable and we had a wonderful time. Nothing really to improve on- bigger mugs in the kitchen maybe? Genuinely, everything was very easy and the communication with the host was great too.

As with previous visits, the lodge was very clean and spacious, no problems at all during the week, nice kitchen, big bedrroms with lovely bathrooms. The addition of the Smart TV was great particularly for bad weather days! Andy and team are excellent, always very helpful and kind. Was very disappointed not to be able to use or go into the hotel, even to have a coffee outdoors in the afternoon.

Great spot. Andy was brilliant.

Everything. House was perfect. Plenty of space for 7 of us and lovely grounds. Andy the property manager was brilliant. He gave us lots of info in advance and popped into us during our stay to see all was going well. He had some great tips for things to do and places to eat in the local area and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. This probably made the difference between it being a good holiday and the really great holiday it was. Big thanks to Andy! Extra duvets in the bedrooms would be good. Some were a little thin and got a bit chilly at nighttime for the older guests.

Walled garden lodges - Castlemartyr

From beginning to end dealing with Maurice for the booking and Andy on-site they could not have done more for us. So pleasant to deal with and very helpful. No 1 is a three bedroom with lots of space, big windows with lots of light and nicely laid out. Everything is there that you would need and location is near some great walks, beaches, towns&villages. The Irish weather !! Honestly the team could not have been better to deal with
