We just returned from a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. The location, in the upper city, can’t be beat. It is one block from the main shopping and dining street, yet incredibly quiet. The property itself is beautifully designed and quite large. It appears to be the part time home of the owner and her family. It has an entry way, a library of sorts, a living room, two bedrooms, a bonus room (which you likely won’t use) and 2.5 bathrooms (one of which is in a basement space and kind of funky but really functional). It was perfect for us (a couple), but would be equally good for someone with two children as well. The twin beds in the second bedroom could probably be put together if two couples wanted to rent the apartment. Although the design is modern and sleek, it isn’t cold or uninviting. We didn’t spend much time in the apartment as we were out exploring all day. But it was sure nice to come back to for a short nap, or in the evening. If you aren’t familiar with Italian standards you’ll need to learn a few things, such as the fact that you can’t run two major appliances at the same time or it will trip the circuit breaker. But these are minor inconveniences. And the fact that the unit has a washer and dryer is a huge plus, especially for longer stays. I think it is a bargain and I plan to return again next year, probably for a month. It is by far the prettiest VRBO apartment I found in Bergamo. And the owner, Chiara, is incredibly responsive and helpful.
