We stayed at Summerhill with 2 of our children and our 4 grandchildren (ages 9, 8, 6 and 6) and had a wonderful time! The house is lovely and has lots of great space for people to be together or to be apart. Plenty of room in the kitchen with plenty of kitchenware, a big dining table, comfortable beds, 3 large, bright bathrooms, a TV room, reading nook that the older 2 grandchildren used a lot, etc. We never felt cramped. The screened porch was a lovely spot to sit in the evening. And there are games and books galore to keep everyone happy. We were fortunate enough to have nice weather so we spent time at Colony beach (an easy walk and a good spot for rock hunting, digging in the sand and tidal pool exploring...and it's not crowded) and also Gooches beach where there were better waves for playing in (although the water temp was pretty chilly). The 'girls' in the group walked to town for a little fun shopping and lunch at Federal Jacks one day. The food there was delicious (we went at 11:30 which was good, because it got pretty busy by noon). We also tried out Nunan's lobster hut in Cape Porpoise (just a few miles up the road). It's one of those Maine lobster restaurants really set up to serve freshly caught lobster- not fancy, but very good and not too expensive. All in all we had a wonderful time! Thank you to the Millers for sharing their home! We hope to visit again.
