The house lies 3,5 Kms from the well known city of Orvieto in a hilly and quiet location, the lake of Bolsena is 25 km far away. From the property you have a panoramic sight and the town self (beautiful at sunset and at night) and on the historical centre of Orvieto. The location allows to reach quickly the most famous cultural and naturalistic beauties of Umbria, Rome and northern Lazio, southern Tuscany (Siena, Arezzo, Montepulciano). From the villa, in around 15 minutes driving, you are on the motorway Rome-Florence. The train station of Orvieto Scalo is 5 kms far away, the journey time is 1 hour for Rome and 2 hours for Florence. The nearest bus stop is 2 kms from the property. The villa is suitable for max 6 persons. There are 2 bedrooms with double bed and one with 2 single beds. All the bedrooms have air conditioning.  The terrace near the house is equipped with a gazebo, table and chairs. So it will be possible to eat outdoor and enjoy at the same time the panoramic view on Orvieto. The property has a private garden and swimming pool for sole use of the tenant. The pool is 6x12 meters with a depth of 150cm, there is also a little pool suitable for young children (depth around 50cm). The small building near the pool can be used as changing room and it has also a toilet, 3 ring stove and a fridge for drinks. There is a gezebo with table and chairs if you want to eat near the pool. The nearest shops (supermarket, bakery, butcher, pharmacy and some other shops) are situated in Sferracavallo (2,5 kms from the property). There are different restaurants within 4/6 kms from the house.

Prima huis, basaal ingericht. Ongelooflijk mooi uitzicht. Ruim terrein met heerlijk zwembad, heerlijk rustig. Orvieto en supermarkten dichtbij. Super vriendelijke en gastvrije eigenaren. Genieten. Ik zal er graag terug komen.

Quiet place with a most beautiful view

Lovely farmhouse with a very well maintained garden and a excellent pool area due to the owners daily care. He and his family are very friendly and they are very helpful with any questions. Even grapes, fresh eggs and herbs from the garden were „delivered“ to the door. The spot is ideal for trips to the romantic villages nearby as Orvieto or Bolsena among many others. A trip to Rome by train can be highly recommended. We loved the place and had a relaxing holiday.

Traumhafter Ausblick

Wunderschönes Grundstück, ruhige Lage. Knapp 2 km zum einkaufen in den nächsten Ort. Aussicht auf Orvieto und Umgebung ist ein Traum. Das Haus ist perfekt für 6 Personen. Sehr sauber und bequeme Betten. Ideale Grillecke zum sitzen. Wir fanden die Woche super. Die Altstadt von Orvieto ist sehr schön. Kultur, bissel shoppen und leckere Restaurants.

Tolles Haus mit Traumaussicht

Großzügige Villa in großem sehr schönen Garten mit hervorragend gepflegtem Pool und Traumaussicht auf Orvieto. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, für Einkäufe oder Restaurant-Besuche in der Umgebung ist ein Auto nötig. Fussweg nach Orvieto eine knappe Stunde. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermieter, die z.B. eine Einkaufsmöglichkeit für Olivenöl direkt beim Erzeuger vermittelten.

Mooie plek met heerlijk zwembad

Het uitzicht op Orvieto verveelde nooit. Het zwembad was groot en de ruimte eromheen comfortabel. We hebben genoten van de tomaten en eieren die wij geregeld ontvingen van de eigenaar.

Great escape!

The house was perfect for a getaway for our family for 4 weeks. The ambiente of house, the garden, grill space, the pool area are just great! Check-in and check-out were very easy; the place is very calm and quite; Great view from the pool to beautiful Orvieto! The city was just few min reachable by car. Everything was very well prepared and the host and the Grandfather! were amazing! Thank you for everything the wine, delicious fresh vegetables and eggs :) grazie di tutto!

Freundliche Gastgeber, sorgten täglich für die Anlage. Alles sehr sauber. Inneneinrichtung teilweise in die Jahre gekommen. Nachbarn offenbar Halter von Jagdhunden. Grundsätzlich zum Weiterempfehlen!

Le bonheur à Orvieto

La maison,très agréable et très propre esr entourée d'un superbe grand jardin avec piscine de rêve, cuisine d'été avec barbecue et four à bois +jeux pour enfants. La vue est superbe et en particulier la vue sur Orvieto qui est certainement une des plus jolies petites ville d'Italie. Et que dire des propriétaires ils sont tout simplement charmants. .

Wonderful Place!

The place is wonderful! House and all property looks even better then on photos. It is also very well maintained with Owner cleaning the pool and watering the plants and trees daily in the morning before we woke up! We were even getting the presents such as eggs, tomatoes or house wine! The pool is big and we enjoyed playing in it a lot, it was also an excellent refreshment after the hot day. The view from the property is simply marvelous, we could not get enough of watching Orvieto at different times of days. And we enjoyed a lot visiting Orvieto in the evenings after the crowds were gone. There are many things to do in the area and plenty of beautiful bigger and smaller towns to visit within 1-2hrs drive so it was a perfect balance between sightseeing and staying by the pool. If I ever have a chance to go back to Umbria I would definitelly pick this property again!

Fantastic holiday!

Beautiful villa set in gorgeous well maintained grounds with a Fantastic pool and lounging area. And a view to die for across Vineyards to Orvieto. The owner came daily (before we got up) to clean the pool and leave us gifts of eggs and peaches. On arrival they had ensured we had water, some basic items and local wine! The villa has all the items you need to ensure you want for nothing, including fans in all the bedrooms for those warm nights. Only an hour from Perugia airport made the whole trip so easy and we would thoroughly recommend the villa to anyone looking for a relaxing break.

The property was great and the owner very accommodating. He came every other morning to clean to pool, met us with 2 bottles of his good home grown wine, and gifted us fresh eggs and fruit pastries. It was really a beautiful stay. The pool and property we fantastic. No air conditioning, but it was not needed despite being a hot week as the house stayed cool when closed up during the day. It is on a small dead end road with no traffic, easy access to Orvieto (great to be able to go into town in the evening and avoid the day trippers). Easy train access to Rome and Florence.

Absolutely fantastic!

A lovely house with a great garden with fantastic views. The house is equipped with all conveniences and tidy. The garden is a true paradise with different fruit trees and beautiful plants. The pool is lovely and the outdoor shower is ideal. The owner is very friendly and takes care of the garden and the pool every morning without notice. He also occasionally provides a basket of delicious fruits and fresh eggs. The surroundings are wonderful. Of course Orvieto, but also other cities and villages in the area. But you'd rather stay at the house, in the garden and in the swimming pool!

Beautiful and Comfortable

The property is verdant, nestled among the gentle hills of vineyards and olive groves. This is the classic Italian countryside at its best. Orvieto is a charming hill city, with millenia-old Etruscan caves woven throughout the city's bedrock, and the view of that city from this home is breathtaking. Our family stayed here and hosted visits from friends. Everyone loved out time here.

Perfect Italian country side house

The house holds every facility you can possibly need. The pool is absolutely marvellous. We (family with three kids, 2, 5 and 7 years of age) enjoyed it very much. The garden is spacious enough to do lots of other games once you want a break from swimming. The surrounding area is stunningly beautiful; green hill sides as far as you can see. The city of Orvieto is like walking through history, the way Italian cities can be. You definitely need a (rental) car. The only reason we did not rate 5 out of 5 is the mattrasses; they need replacement.

Amazing value, service, comfort, and VIEWS!

There are so many choices of villas on HomeAway it was hard to settle on one, but we made the right choice! Wanted a quiet home with comfortable amenities, room for 6 travelers (3 couples), close to a town, and with views. Wish I could give this place, the lovely owners, and the helpful management company 10 stars! Location is about 5-10 min drive outside of Orvieto (because it is along small country roads) and there is an absolutely stunning view of the town, especially magical at night, as well as the rolling hills of the area. The villa is so much better in real life than the pictures portray: it sits on a very large sloped property, with wonderful landscaping that includes pomegranate, persimmon and lemon trees as well as a garden with grapes, tomatoes, eggplants, etc. There is a main house with 3 large bedrooms, 2 full baths, a large dining room, comfortable living area and very well stocked sunny kitchen with a small table and a dishwasher. It was spotlessly clean, the bed linens were high quality, and plenty of towels. Attached to the house is a wonderful stone patio with a covered dining area, the views of Orvieto are incredible in the evenings as you enjoy a glass of the local wine. Up the hill from the house is a sparkling pool and a small pool house with a snack kitchen area, fridge for your poolside drinks, a modern washing machine, and a half-bath (perfect for a large group when someone wants some privacy). There is also an open-air grill house next to the main house with a sitting area, barbeque and a pizza oven. Finally, the whole property is surrounded by a fence with a locked gate, secure parking (though this area is so very peaceful and safe). The management firm was very responsive and helpful in all communications, and the delightful owners and their grandson (who spoke very good English!) were there to greet us and show us all the details of the property. We arrived an hour earlier than planned and they were there within 10 minutes and brought us farm fresh eggs, very nice! We were visiting Italy for my 50th birthday, and hired a couple of chef's one night and there was plenty of room for them to cook, while we enjoyed the views and relaxed. One night we used the outdoor pizza oven and that was delightful. There is a small store not far from the house, and a large grocery store one the other side of Orvieto is only 10-15 min away, and has a fantastic wine selection.

Fantastic views

Lovely location on hillside looking towards Orvieto, secluded but just 10 minutes from the parking lot and escalator into the city. Huge property with a great pool area, woodfired barbecue and large patio. Great spot from which to tour Umbria and southern Tuscany. The location is windy, sometimes very windy, if you are planning to use the pool area.

Rural gem with stunning views

We were met by the friendly owner as soon as we arrived who showed us round and left us gifts of his local produce. The house was really clean and well-equipped for our party of 4 plus baby. The gardens were lovely with fruit trees and a wood-fired grill and pizza oven. The pool has stunning views over Orvieto and the countryside. It also has a poolhouse with kitchen facilities and a bathroom which was very handy. Close to local amenities and plenty of other attractions.

Idyllic

What a stunning place. The house is in a fabulous location - private yet only 10 mins drive to town. The views over Orvieto are breath taking and can be enjoyed during the day from the pool but also on an evening sat on the balcony. The pool itself is gorgeous and is surrounded by vine yards, fruit trees and blossoming flowers. The owners are so lovely and left us baskets of tomatoes and eggs every few days. Such a treat. We will definitely be back!
