Great stay on beautiful Madeira in this great villa

We enjoyed our two-week stay in Madeira very much. We hiked a lot, and on warm days the pool was lovely even in April. The house is well equipped and perfect for a family of four. The view from the terrace and the pool is also beautiful. The welcome by Olivia was very pleasant, and she was always available for help. She organized a hammock for the kids upon request, and other wishes were addressed quickly too. A malfunction in the house was repaired on the same day. Perfect service! I can only recommend this or the other villas offered by Odilia.

Estadia excelente

Casa muito boa, limpa, equipada com tudo o que é necessário, vista fenomenal, a piscina apesar de não ser grande deu para dar uns mergulhos e muita diversão em família. Apreciamos a cortesia da garrafa de vinho a nossa chegada. Adoramos a nossa estadia pena só ter sido uma semana.

Haus in optimaler Lage zum Erkunden der Insel und mit super Blick auf Arco und den Atlantik

Wir kamen aufgrund einer Flugverschiebung infolge eines Sturms am Vortag leider erst um 1:30 in der Nacht an Odilias Ferienhaus an. Wie vorher abgesprochen, war der Schlüssel greifbar und auch das Tor für den Stellplatz stand auf. Es standen Blumen auf dem Tisch und für Ankunft waren Bier/Wein, Früchte sowie der typisch madeirensische Honigkuchen da.Besonders hervorzuheben war, dass Odilia auch für das erste Frühstück (an dem man als Flugreisender ja noch nichts mitbringen bzw. einkaufen konnte) schon Brötchen und Käse bereitgelegt hatte. Odilia ist sehr bemüht, es ihren Gästen recht zu machen. So kommen beispielsweise Tipps zu Wandertouren. Das Haus an sich ist für eine vierköpfige Familie mit großen Kindern etwas klein, zumindest wenn das Wetter mal regnerischer sein sollte. (Da hilft das gute WLAN) Schön ist, dass für diese Fälle ein funktionierender Kaminofen und Holzvorräte im Haus sind. Auch Heizöfchen und ausreichend Decken waren vorhanden. Den Pool fanden unsere Kinder im Vergleich zum letzten Jahr besser, weil er auch ausreichend tief zm Schwimmen war. Schön ist auch das terrassierte Grundstück, bei dem man auf der unteren Ebene noch einen Platz für ein offenes Feuer hat. Natürlich hat man von dort einen Super Überblick über den kompletten Bogen von Arco de Calheta und auf den Atlantik. Aktuell negativ zu bewerten ist der sehr starke Verkehr, der am Haus vorbeiführt. Morgens und Abends fahren einige große LKWs zu Baustellen auf der Paul da Serra. Da das Haus direkt hinter einer Kurve ist, an der die Steigung anfängt und die LKWs in den ersten Gang schalten müssen, ist das bei der typischen Dämmung der Häuser entsprechend laut. Die Baustelle soll aber maximal bis 2020 vorhanden sein. Im Ort gibt es fußläufig in ca. 300 Meter Entfernung bergab ein paar kleine Geschäfte und in der Nähe auch einen kleinen Supermarkt. Wir sind allerdings immer nach Calheta zum Pingo Doce gefahren, der alles hat, was man im Urlaub benötigt. Die Lage in der Gegend von Calheta ist optimal geeignet, um mit dem Mietwagen (zwingend erforderlich!) sowohl in den äußersten Osten als auch Westen zu fahren. In beide Richtungen braucht man ca. 1 Stunde bis zu den äußersten Punkten (Sao Lorenco und Porto Moniz). Die Straßen in den Osten sind dabei sehr gut ausgebaut, ab Ribeira Brava zweispurig als Autobahn. Auch die Hochebene Paul da Serra ist mit 20 Minuten schnell erreicht und über Ribeira Brava kommt man gut in den Nordteil der Insel.

Unbeschreiblich!

Ich kann es gar nicht oft wiederholen wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt in diesem Ferienhaus. Der Ausblick ist einfach unbeschreiblich , das Haus ist sauber und alles ist vorhanden was man in einem normalen Haushalt braucht! Der Pool und die Hängematte haben es uns angetan schöner kann man keinen Urlaub haben. Ca 2 Minuten Autofahrt ist ein kleiner Supermarkt entfernt was wirklich sehr von Vorteil ist . Wir werden diese Insel vermissen

Kleines, gut eingerichtetes Haus, aber laute Straße

Die Vermieterin, Odilia, ist sehr freundlich und das Haus ist gut eingerichtet und hat eine sehr schöne Aussicht, aber die Straße ist in der Früh recht laut (sowohl für das Kinderzimmer, das direkt daneben ist, als auch für das Elternschlafzimmer, das auf die andere Seite geht). Wir waren Ende Februar da und es war so kalt, dass wir ständig die Elektroheizung sowie das Kamin verwenden mussten (das Kamin gefiel unserem Sohn allerdings sehr!).

joilie petite villa avec belle vue sur l'océan

nous gardons d'excellents souvenirs de notre séjour dans cette maison décorée avec goût, propre et très bien équipée pour assurer repos et confort. Vue sur l'océan et placement idéal pour accéder aux randonnées les plus belles de l'île. Odilia nous a accueillis avec gentillesse et s'est trouvée à l'écoute de nos éventuels besoins. Nous la remercions encore. Les randonnées de tous niveaux nous ont donnés envie de revenir pour découvrir encore plus cette île magnifique où l'on se sent bien. L'océan est beau et permet de belles baignades même si peu d'endroits le permettent.

Perfect stay on Madeira with most stunning view!

We had such a wonderful stay in this beautiful villa! The ceilings are high and the bedrooms are spacious. The kitchen is modern and very well equipped. Everything was perfectly clean. And the view is just WOW! We could've spent our time just sitting out on the terrace enjoying the view. We loved that it was always sunny on this side of the island and that the villa was situated in a little village. We had a feeling we were living like real Madeirians! We were just a 10-15 minute drive to a big grocery store and 2 minute drive to the best pizza we had on Madeira! And what to say about the owner? She's the most attentionate and friendly host anyone could have! She was always there to help us and made us feel really welcomed. I hope to come back here one day and I will definetly recommend this perfect villa to my friends and family. Just a tip about Madeira in general and especially this villa, make sure you rent a car with a GPS! Thank you again Odilia for everything! We will be back :)

A truly wonderful stay!

We recently spent a wonderful five days in this lovely property.  It felt like a home away from home and is equipped with all the basics one would need to ensure a comfortable stay as well as some of those items that you may have neglected to pack, for e.g. sunscreen! It has glorious views from the balcony and a great outdoor area perfect for entertaining. We used this area almost every evening to barbecue one of the local specialities, 'espetada' and to sit outside, enjoying the perfect weather.  The area is functional and easy to clean. The house has a cosy feel to it and is spotlessly clean with the lady who owns it being friendly, helpful and a pleasure to work with. The house is situated 10 minutes drive from local Calheta with its beach, marina and a well-equipped Pingo Doce supermarket.  There are also a few local shops and a place to have coffee just a five minute drive down the hill, should you not wish to venture down to the seaside. I cannot recommend this property highly enough and look forward to staying there again in the near future.

Vue très agréable

Maison bien équipée, aménagée avec goût. Nous avons une belle vue sur la côte et la mer, avec de beaux couchers de soleil. Point négatif: la route près de la maison est très passagère le matin, dés 7 heures! La propriétaire est accueillante. Elle est à l'écoute pour satisfaire au mieux ses hôtes. Petites attentions, les produits issus de son jardin sont appréciables. Le barbecue, attenant à la maison permet de faire de bonnes grillades. Les spécialités culinaires à base de poissons (dorade, thon, "espada"), les crustacés, le "bolo do caco", les divers fruits de la passion, les figues de barbarie, les bananes, le melon et la pastèque sont un délice. Située sur la côte ouest de l'île, les plages de galets comme "Paul do Mar" sont appréciables. Mais les inconditionnels de sable fin n'auront pas beaucoup de kilomètres à faire puisque une plage (artificielle à mon goût)se trouve à Calheta. Finalement une piscine serait la bienvenue!

Correu tudo na perfeição. Casa super equipada e confortável. Tudo bastante cuidado, limpo e organizado. Corresponde inteiramente ao que se vê no anúncio. A proprietária muito simpática e atenciosa mas sempre respeitadora da privacidade. Vista fantástica. É possivel gozar da praia e ao mesmo tempo do sossego e tranquilidade que o alojamento oferece. Estadia Perfeita

Foram uns dias fantasticos, a casa tinha todas as condições para um serão bem passado em familia, estava toda bem equipada, gostei especialmente da lareira que nos aqueçeu nas noites mais frias, foi sem dúvida uma experiença para se repetir e recomenda-se a todas as pessoas que queiram tirar uns diazinhos de puro relaxamento com uma vista maravilhosa num lugar calmissímo!
