This house is lovely; it's somehow spacious but cozy.
The kitchen was totally functional -kind of a surprise for a rental, and especially for a historical house. The stovetop and oven are gas, the dishwasher works well, there's a big enamel sink, and there's enough counter space to not feel cramped.
The long table in the main room was great for tackling work while traveling, and still left enough space to eat dinner.
The TV room was my favorite space, the couch is really the perfect spot for reading or knitting. Plus there's a table in there that's big enough for jigsaw puzzles.
The bedrooms are comfortable, with plenty of space for hanging up clothes. The bed we slept in was firm (happily), and there were extra quilts in every room. The linens were clean, and the beds made up crisply, so they felt pretty inviting.
There's a hallway with plenty of extra towels and beach towels. -I imagine this would be especially nice in summer. The showers had great water pressure and hot water. The laundry room had a functional washer and dryer, laundry soap, dryer sheets, and hanging racks.
The outdoor area had some gorgeous fall foliage while we were there, and made a great spot for sipping coffee in the mornings.
Overall, this is the perfect spot to vacation in Westport. I would definitely recommend it, and look forward to visiting again!
