Flat was surprisingly small. Felt small even for two. The hanging space in the wardrobe is just a foot wide!!! Also getting in tricky. But the flat looks and feels nice. Everything is modern and new. And the location is excellent within walking distance of the train station for getting about. We enjoyed our stay.

Saltaire, a Victorian model village was built in 1851 by Sir Titus Salt, a leading industrialist in the Yorkshire woollen industry. Built by local architects Francis Lockwood and Richard Mawson, the name of the village is a combination of the founder’s name and the name of the river. Designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in December 2001, the village is bursting with loads of exciting social events and places for guests to enjoy. There are leaflets and flyers in the apartment with information on places to eat or visit for guests.
