Great stay

The owner worked very well with communication I was able to get in easily it’s a gated community which was awesome it’s not an updated home but still nice! It was clean and a gorgeous set up it has s leak from an ac and was hot in the living area but no other problems. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay longer if i could and stay again!

Better than expected!

Place was way more spacious than we thought, everything was really clean when we got there we were a little sketch out about booking this property because of pass reviews but I’m glad we ended up getting it. Only thing I say was a little not it is that the air units leak water if you leave them on at night but it wasn’t that much of a big deal for us, aside from that we left the place how we got it. The neighbor to the left was really lovely and sweet we chat a few times and made our experience even better. The security guy “malecio” believe was his name was very helpful and friendly!. Will book next time we come to PR!

Dirtiest place ever stayed

The place was so dirty that some of our friends got dust allergy and become sick. Location was good. I am not sure on what basis vrbo list the properties. But not to forgot Owner was helpful sending back our lost purse for the shipping cost + service charge.

Owner very unpleasant

At first the owner was very nice when I called to check in. Once we did a walk through of the property, it was not as described on the website had a lot of damage and the people that he paid to clean the property did not do a great job. The bathrooms were dirty and the tubs not clean. Texted the owner amd informed him and sent pictures as requested. Owner had the nerve to ask me if I want someone to come out tomorrow to re-clean. I'm like yes. That would be great. Owner stated that he will try and get someone to come out in the morning. Late into the night. I texted the owner and told him that my family and I no longer felt comfortable to stay in the property and wanted to check out in the morning. We tried to sleep in the property but could not get comfortable. Tried to make other sleeping arrangements but everything was booked up til the next day. So we opted to sleep in the cars we rented in the parking spaces at the property. That morning I texted the owner and told him that I had placed the key back in the spot he told me to get it from. Owner replied stating that I am being difficult and that the same cleaning woman was back to clean whatever we needed. I explained over and over to the owner that my family was not comfortable. He proceeds to tell me that the property is comfortable and clean and for us to enjoy our stay because he basically was not entertaining the idea of a refund. He blew me off so I contacted VRBO and they were of no help. Told them I was having a disagreement with the owner and they basically told me to resolve my issues with the owner. VRBO gets the owner on the phone and he starts calling me all kind of liars and I am making things up to get a refund. There is nothing wrong with the property. I believe had my husband been on the phone he would not have been talking to me that way. Then he accused me of dirtying up the property, taking pictures and sending them to him. Why would I do that. I sent pictures. He then proceeds to say that I am trying to scam him and referencing that Puerto Ricans don't play that and for me to try and told me to stay the hell out of Puerto Rico. Threatned me in a message through VRBO. Saying see what happens to me if I try and leave a bad review of him on this site. He swallows people like me up for breakfast. I'm don't get how I was the problem because I no longer wanted my family to stay at the property. I'm sorry but he needs to do a better job with his cleaning crew. Refund my money.

Stay away from this person. The muddied the property on purpose. Even took a piss on the floor. Lied and said she stayed on the parking lot because the villa was so gross. Video and 24/7 security show the empty car parked outside and they inside the property. I threatened to call the Police on them which I will do now. People like this should not be allowed to rent property. They are the worst possible human beings you can rent to. I sincerely hope VRBO tags them for their fraudulent activities and hope the Police put out an arrest warrant for damage to the property.

Home Owner called repeatedly

The home owner contacted me repeatedly alleging problems with VRBO , saying he had not been paid . He threatend to change the locks to force me to interceed in his behalf to VRBO. Many text messages and calls about his payment which was paid to VRBO . Very upsetting that home owner would place his burdens on me the traveler . Never sure if he would indeed change the locks at any time , I felt very uncomfortable . Home owner wanted me to call my credit card company , cancel payment to VRBO and pay him directly . Very shady behavior , this home owner clearly does not play by the rules. VRBO guest services assured me that I was safe , the locks would not be changed during my rental period , the month of May , 2018. I should not have been surprised that during check out the home owner reached out again saying there is a problem , new guests are checking in . This owner is trying to charge additional fees for late check out. Strongly caution anyone from staying at this property. Owner violated VRBO rules by contacting me directly about payment , suggesting I cancel payment to VRBO , and threatened to change locks if VRBO didn't pay him in three days as they promised. Beware this owner Hugo can not be trusted .

These people overstayed at the villa and I had to move a new tenant to a different property because they hadn’t left and we didn’t have enough time to clean. When the cleaning crew arrived to clean they were still there and actually refused to leave. They had to get someone to remove them from the property. And then refused to pay for the extra days they stayed or the additional property I had to pay. VRBO did in fact lose the payment and I asked the renter to contact VRBO, which she did relunctanctly. This issue was completely a fault at VRBO and had nothing to do with me or the renter. I wasn’t paid until weeks after. I never threatened to change the locks nor did I harass her. I did have to spend a lot of my time talking to VRBO (not to the renter) to get this resolved. VRBO knows about this renter’s overstay and lack of payment for the additional days. Beware of this scammer, if I didn’t have another tenant coming they had planned to stay an additional week.

Great Experience

I had a great experience, the property was fully equipped for a family or big group, clean and beautiful house. The location is great as it is close to all restaurants, strip malls, pharmacies and supermarkets. Also the location is very close to one of Dorados best beaches and also the ones in Vega Alta and Vega Baja. The owner was very helpful and on call for any information needed. I will return definetely, I recommend this property for any short or long rental as its perfect for both a weekend getaway and a long term vacation.
