Just returned home from a fabulous vacation at this property. Sad we had to leave. The townhouse is in a small complex (~12 units) and is located on a private beach area. The beach is literally in the backyard with a beach entrance from each town home. The beach was not crowded and there was plenty of room to spread out. Even on the busiest day we were there, the closest tent/umbrella to ours was 50 feet away. Perfect for social distancing during COVID-19. Down the beach at the large condo high rise, chairs and umbrellas were 4 rows deep and maybe 6 feet apart. It was nice being able to walk back and forth to the townhouse to eat lunch, use the restroom, restock on drinks, etc. There were pop-up thunderstorms each day and we were able to pack up and get inside quickly. Although the location of the townhouse is definitely the highlight of staying here there were other nice amenities, as well. The layout of the townhouse was great. We only had 4 adults, but 2 families could have stayed here and had plenty of space. The decks offered beautiful views of the gulf (no sunsets...this property does not face west). There is an extra refrigerator in the garage, a nice grill outside, floats in the outside closet, a few beach chairs on the lower patio and trash pick-up twice per week. We liked that there are two master bedrooms. We did not use the 3rd bedroom on the 1st floor. The kitchen is fairly well stocked. There is plenty of dinnerware, silverware, glassware and utensils. The pots and pans and baking sheets need to be replaced. There are 2 glass Pyrex baking dishes that work well for casseroles. If you are planning to cook, I would suggest bringing a sauté pan/skillet with a lid, storage containers for leftovers, a medium sized mixing bowl and foil to use on the baking sheets. Due to COVID, we cooked and ate every meal at the townhouse and the vacationers at the neighboring town homes were doing the same. We brought our crockpot and disposable aluminum baking dishes, which made cooking a lot easier. The other few things we noticed were that you have to double the baking time for anything you cook in the oven. Not sure why, since it is a Maytag. The towels and washcloths are very thin and worn. They need to be replaced. Water does not drain properly in the smaller upstairs bedroom. Water stands when you shower. We also found dirty bed linens in trash bags in each of the closets. Overall, we had an amazing vacation and would rent this property again.
