Our stay was incredible, thanks to Freddy and his amazing team. It was my wedding week, and they made everything seamless, Freddy provided anything we needed, even preparing last-minute meals that were absolutely delicious. He and his crew made my entire family feel welcome and cared for. The hospitality, warmth, and attention to detail made this trip unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Check in was seamless, our host Freddie met us at the door and greeted all 20 of us with a smile! We were able to send Freddie a list of foods that we wanted in the home for our family. When we got there , the kitchen was well stocked with food and drinks that we asked for. The kitchen had everything one would need, if you could not find something, Freddie came to our aid. Freddie is a great chef. Our family had two cooking classes with him. This is a great place to have a family gathering. We celebrated our 50th Anniversary with our entire family. There was plenty of room for everyone! The home has a pool, ping pong table and a pool table. What a wonderul and memorable time we had!

Unforgettable wedding weekend at Villa Elena

We booked our weekend stay at Villa Elena 1 year ago and have been looking forward to it ever since. Freddy and Elisa have been amazing to work with prior to our stay for our 26 person wedding at the Villa. They are incredibly communicative and exceeded all expectations. Freddy is an amazing chef and cooked all of the meals for us during our stay, including breakfast. The service and hospitality was unmatched. The photos very accurately represented the villa. The pool and yard area was perfect for our large group to hang out in. If you’re considering booking a large, romantic, Italian villa for any occasion, I’d recommend Villa Elena! Thank you Freddy!

Bruce Springsteen and Roma!!

Villa Elena is beautiful and spacious both inside and out. It was the perfect home base for our group of seven couples. Federico is a wonderful host and an excellent chef. He managed several requests for and changes to car service for our group of 14. He also shopped for us stocking the kitchen and bar before our arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed his cooking class, barbecue and other fabulous meals! We loved meeting Federico, his lovely mother Elena and his sweet dog Leo. Highly recommend for any groups heading to Roma!

Ryder Cup Vacation

My wife and I and 5 other couples stayed at Villa Elena recently while we attended the Ryder Cup in Rome. We had a fabulous time at the villa. It is a charming villa in a private gated community just 30 minutes outside of the center of Rome with beautiful bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms for each of the couples in our group, great indoor and outdoor space for everyone to be together (or alone if someone preferred), a fun kitchen with a wine vault and a lovely pool, gardens and outdoor bar/kitchen with pizza oven. The villa was well stocked with wine, beer, liquor, soda and snacks, and Freddy, the owner of the villa, was a delightful host, providing for all of our needs including a private chef for special dinners each evening. We could not have asked for a better experience and would definitely return.

We stayed at this villa for our small destination wedding with friends and family, and it was everything we hoped for. Federico was the best host, with Sophia helping throughout our stay, and they both made us feel so taken care of. We chose to have breakfast almost every morning and I’d really recommend it—it was fresh, homemade, and so delicious every time.The villa itself was stunning. There was so much space, a beautiful pool, gorgeous dining areas, and this romantic atmosphere that honestly felt like we were living inside an Italian romcom. What really set it apart for us was the huge common living room where everyone could sit together, laugh, play board games or video games, and just spend time as a group instead of being split up like in hotel rooms. It felt like home, but better.I also loved how Federico kept the fridge stocked with waters, drinks, and alcohol at really fair prices—it made things so easy and meant we didn’t have to stress about running out or bringing our own. He does provide shampoo and conditioner, but I’d suggest bringing your own toiletries and slippers. You can also arrange for snacks or groceries with him if you’d like.Overall, this villa made our wedding feel complete and so special. It was warm, joyful, and such a beautiful setting for the memories we made. I’d recommend it a thousand times over to anyone looking for a place in Rome to gather with loved ones.

The experience of a lifetime

Federico is the best host and this villa was, hands-down, the best part of our entire trip. We hosted a group of 15 photographers from around the world across 4 different countries/cities and Rome was our last stop (NYC, London, Paris, and Rome). We stayed here the longest and it was worth every penny. Freddy was so accommodating and welcoming, the villa had everything we needed (and when we didn't have something, he always offered to drive into town to the grocery store to get it for us so we wouldn't have to worry about arranging transportation for all of us). The villa is spectacular, so peaceful, but not too far out of Rome city central. Huge pool, giant outdoor eating space, and so much room in the house that it's perfect for large groups like we had. I cannot recommend this place enough. We are bringing our family back next year, we loved it so much!

Spacious, warm, comfortable and food food food!

We were a group of five families with young kids, who had travelled from the US, Australia and Cyprus to reunite as a combined unit at Villa Elena after several years of being apart, and to celebrate some milestone birthdays. The villa was perfect and an easy commute from central Rome. It accommodated us all so comfortably that we didn’t even need to leave the villa, for it had everything we needed….deliciously catered Italian fare by our host Freddy (breakfast, lunch and dinner), a super fun pasta cooking class hosted by Freddy, a well stocked wine cellar and bar, an enormous (though very deep) swimming pool, snooker table, ping pong table, grounds for kids to run about and play. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Freddy and Leo (Labrador) into the former family home and instantly felt very comfortable and at home. The villa was huge, with bedrooms galore and each with own ensuite so families could have their own space in need. Elisa helped us to curate our stay including arranging our various meals and our celebratory birthday dinner for a combined 40th and 70th. We all had such a blast and literally rolled out of there 10kg heavier after consuming so much good food and wine. Highly recommend.

Family Macdonald Gathering.

The Villa was spacious and homely. The games room was perfect for the young ones, and the garden and outdoor swimming pool stunning! Our host Federico, was recovering from a recent biking accident, so his father was working alongside him. Anyone who manages to remove a pizza from the oven using one hand, being bandaged and on crutches at the same time, has my admiration. Pat cooked amazing breakfasts each day for our hungry crowd. Also the lunches and dinners were excellent. The pizza evening was very popular and we all had our favourites. A potato and a nutella pizza were a first for me! The hosts were always very helpful to arrange transport when needed, or dealing with last minute change of plans. Any requests ie Grampa asking for butter at breakfast, was no problem. We all had a relaxing and fun stay at the Villa. Many thanks Federico, family and team. Our very best wishes to Federico for a speedy recovery. We felt so, ' at home ' with all the kindnesses shown by you all. I would certainly recommend this venue for the perfect stay. Bravo! Sarah.

Freddy is the best, bar none

We stayed with Freddy for three nights, for our wedding, with 15 friends/family. The entire process was super easy, and the Villa was amazing. Everyone could not say enough great things about the Villa, grounds, Freddy, the food, the wedding, everything. We had a pizza night for the welcome dinner/rehearsal, and every single person said it was the best rehearsal dinner they'd ever had - an assortment of amazing pizzas made in the outdoor pizza oven - the best pizza we had while in Italy. Each room is well decorated, has it's own A/C, as well as it's own en suite bathroom which was so incredibly helpful for everyone to get ready. Our bed was SO comfortable. There was so much room, people weren't on top of each other, but plenty of space to gather in the common areas, too. We felt incredibly lucky to have the smoothest/easiest process possible for every event. Freddy was also the MOST patient person alive as my credit card company would not release my card from a fraud hold (we're American) and was the most calm/chill person possible even though it took us 20 minutes to get a charge processed on checkout - the anxiety was level 10000 trying to get my credit card company to release the hold, but Freddy was SO patient which was incredibly kind. We had an amazing stay, everything was stress-free, Freddy makes it a true vacation. We also LOVED Leo, his dog, and Freddy keeps him tucked away, I suspect to be polite, but I could have hung out with Leo all day/every day.

Amazing Stay

Federico was extremely accommodating and helpful. He prepared us the best pizza we have ever had and 4 different delicious pasta dishes! A Wonderful Villa Experience

This villa and the grounds is very large. It more than took care or our group of 12.The bedrooms, bathrooms kitchen and common areas are tastefully decorated and perfectly equipped. The swimming pool is large and beautiful. The host Federico (Freddy) can shop for your groceries, arrange transportation,,set you up with touring companies and generally help you to have a wonderful stay. He is a trained chef who made the best pizza I have ever eaten.Other than cooking for you many of his services are done without charge except for what is being purchased. He is a caterer who buys his wine at better than retail pricing and he will pass that wine onto you for the same price! Buy the end of your stay you will think of him as a true friend which we all do. The combined rec room/ tv theater has play station 5 netflix and amazon in English together with billiards ping pong and foos-ball. Our kids and teens loved it. Perfect setting to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary with family!

Our host Frederico was amazing from checkin to checkout. Considerable advance planning was needed to coordinate meal preferences for our three day stay and Frederico was very accommodating to share meal options and offer to purchase other food and beverage items in advance of our arrival. On arrival day he greeted each family member at the door and took us on a tour that exceeded our expectations! The online photos show you highlights of the property but to see the villa in person was exhilarating for our family group of 11. Frederico in addition to being a great host is also an accomplished chef and prepares typical Italian cuisine that pleased the palate of our family from meal to meal and course to course. He even has a “wine vault!” I’m not kidding it is a safe stocked with his favorite wines. There is also a bar and an expansive game and entertainment room. Our four grandchildren and their parents enjoyed table tennis, pocket billiards and a large screen smart streaming TV indoors. Outdoors is equally amazing with a huge pool and backyard that supplied our crew with constant fun and relaxation. The seven bedrooms were modernly equipped and could easily accommodate larger family groups. If we could give Frederico 6 stars on VRBO we would. Since five is the limit we will offer to adopt him in our familia! Gary and Deanie

Perfect place for a family vacation

My (now) husband and I rented Villa Elena for a family vacation/wedding for 16 adults and 1 baby. My guests and I were so impressed with both the villa and Freddie's hospitality. We were pleasantly surprised to find that Freddie added an awesome fountain and renovated all of the rooms so they look very chic. We had so much fun lounging on the day beds by the pool, playing pool in the game room, and eating delicious meals in the picturesque outdoor dining area. We didn't want to leave! Federico is an amazing and attentive host. He was flexible, accommodating, friendly, and really went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. He helped us organize transportation into the city, bought groceries for us, acted as translator, and cooked an amazing meal for a group with a variety of dietary restrictions. Both he and the villa itself are wonderful.

Nice property near Rome

We stayed here with my family and it was a wonderful stay. Firstly, the host (Frederico) is incredibly helpful and a great chef! He cooked us a few meals (e.g. pasta) which were delicious - I would definitely recommend hiring him to cook should you rent this property. Additionally, having Frederico onsite was also very helpful, whether it was being able to ask questions about the property or recommendations for Rome. The property was very clean and welcoming. It was also quite large and spacious. Given our group was large and diverse in ages, it was important that there was enough room so everyone felt they had their own space if they needed it e.g. if the grandparents went to sleep early, they were not disturbed from noise in the living room / kitchen. Hence, the property suited our needs well. Moreover, the ping pong table, pool table and table football was a hit with the kids, in addition to the large swimming pool, which is roughly 20 meters long, so great to swim laps in. It seems like Federico and his family are constantly looking to improve the property and recently renovated the bedrooms and bathrooms in this house, which are not reflected in the pictures. The renovations are nice. Regarding the property’s location – it is in the out skirts of Rome but is close to the centre (roughly ~25 mins), so quite convenient if you want to sight see in the city. Lastly, should you want to play tennis, there are courts you can rent at the local recreation centre which is only 1.5km away. Overall, I would recommend this property and the host!

Fabulous property & grounds

This was a great place for a large family holiday and party. The house is amazing and the grounds and pool are stunning. So peaceful yet still super close to the airports and Central Rome. Freddy was a great host - even making a ramp to facilitate one of our party who needed wheelchair access. We had yoga classes on the terrace every day with the wonderful Chiara and lovely family meals around the huge dining table. Lots of separate areas also to allow everyone some space. I highly recommend this property, and thank you Freddy for ensuring we had the best time!
