Honestly, the stay did not live up to my expectations. The view was stunning. You cannot listen to music at the pool, which I really did not like nor can you take food into the pool area. The grills are pretty far from the rooms. I just expected more I guess you’d say.

Overall Great Stay

Lots of positives about this rental. The location is fantastic. Super easy walk to the beach. Restaurants are in walking distance. View is amazing. Overall, the property was clean and quiet. The elevators were in working order our entire stay. Loved that the rental provided two beach chairs and an umbrella so that we didn’t have to pay for beach service. Kitchen was well stocked. Parking was easy and no hassle. Pool and gym are really nice. We did have a couple of issues during our stay. The sliding glass door is very heavy and seems likes it’s off track. On the second day, the handle broke off (I assume from many renters having to yank REALLY HARD to open.) Unfortunately, there were cockroaches/palmetto bugs in the unit. We killed several each day we were there. I get that it’s damp next to the beach, but we’ve never had this problem at a rental in Destin before. Lastly, the tubs are stained and look dirty. We even tried scrubbing them ourselves. They should probably be replaced soon. We discussed all of these issues with property management and they were extremely responsive and apologetic. Someone came to fix the sliding door immediately and they assured us they would have someone come in regarding the roaches.

We definitely plan to be back next year to spend another week in Majestic Sun! The location was perfect. It was a short walk to the beach. The unit was clean and nicely decorated. We had everything we needed during our stay. The view from the balcony was incredible. We had restaurants and an ice cream shop within walking distance. The parking garage was so convenient and we were able to buy additional passes if needed. The Glass Casa representatives were awesome and patiently answered my numerous questions. I highly recommend Glass Casa and Majestic Sun!

A couple of suggestions: provide renters with a couple of door mats that can be washed and a few more knives in the kitchen. Other than that, it was a great place to rent.

Very Close to being a 5 Star

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was ready early and check-in was very easy. Our packet that was supposed to contain wrist bands and a parking pass was not in the unit when we arrived. The parking pass was brought up after we called, but we never received any wrist bands. The bed in the master bedroom was extremely lopsided and uncomfortable, and we found out the next day from a maintenance person who arrived to look at it that it was broken. He fixed it and it was no longer lopsided but still not very comfortable. Biggest issue however was that the sliding door to the balcony required a very strong person to open it. Having stayed in other units in this building, I can say from experience that this is not normal and needs to be addressed. Pots and pans are old and need to be replaced. Linens and towels were clean and seemed new.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful trip! We have stayed in various units at the Majestic Sun yearly for the last 15 years. The condo is as pictured. Very nicely decorated. The kitchen is stocked well (probably the best stocked condo kitchen I have seen). The condo was overall clean, but the floors could use some scrubbing. We would definitely stay here again. Glass Casa is great to work with and they would check in to make sure there weren't any questions or issues. We added a day to our reservation last minute and it only took minutes on the phone to update the reservation. The pool was a little chilly. We were hoping the indoor pool would be heated but they have not turned it on yet. Overall not a big deal. I would definitely recommend the unit to others looking to stay at the Majestic Sun!

Sliding door very hard to open

810A room. I called and talked with two different people about how hard the sliding door was to open. Also talked with a young lady in perspn in the office. All said a work order was issued. No one ever came to fix it. My wife and sons girlfriend could not open it up at all.

Everything was as described. Unit was nice and we enjoyed our stay. Only feedback is the sliding door is very difficult to open. Needs some work. Everything else was perfect!

Reviewer Comments: This unit was probably the worst unit we stayed in at the majestic sun. The couch had stains on it, the beds were hard as a rock, the bed linens were very thin, and the curtains didn’t block any light in the bedrooms. The one bedroom had drywall patch behind the dresser, and the condo had a faint cigarette smoke smell throughout. We booked this room because of the reviews and the pictures, but wouldn’t book it again.

Review of Majestic Sun

Experience was good as we stayed in Majestic Sun last year, only things I would look at was the washer very loud even doing a little load of laundry. The drains in bathroom sinks were also very slow to drain. Balcony door also very hrs to open.
