Thank you for your surprising review especially after we changed the rental dates for you and lost revenue leaving impossible dates to rent, just to help you and accommodate you when your airplane tickets completely changed your plans. We are very sorry that Casa Serena was not up to your standards. As hosts we were always in communication with you at all times as our conversations in VRBO shows. Irene Sarai and Simon told me that you were lovely people and that you were extremely kind to them. My apologies about the laundry service. I asked Irene Sarai to please help you out with this but I had no idea she hand washed everything!!!! I will have to do something about this and I do apologize for any inconvenience caused. I took the laundry machine service away because there were cases of usage abuse and we have a drought problem in the area. I also had no idea about the insects. I just returned from the house some weeks ago and it was fine. Dry season brings many insects but normally we desinfect the areas of the house. I am sorry about this. I will look into a netted area to see if this is possible. I am glas you enjoyed the game and activities at the property. I really hope to welcome you again in the near future. Thank you for your review which I find quite unfair to be honest. You say you are part owners of Hotel Manglar and another hotel in Playa Grande which I personally think are fantastic places. You will then realize from some of the reviews posted about your property how difficult it can be sometimes to run a business and comply with all your clients. Have a look at the reviews left by some of your clients. I would have appreciated if you would have taken this into consideration before trying to harm me with some of your comments. I would have never done this to you or another colleague/owner/neighbour in Playa Grande. I would have expected a private message with all your complaints to help me improve, but you decided to go public to purposely harm me for some reason. As an owner also in Playa Grande, you will know how the salt water from the pacific ocean can corrode wood and metal. I try my best to maintain Casa Serena from this and I do apologize you were not happy with many of the issues. Also as an owner, you will also appreciate that things can break in a property, either because of miss use or because things simply just happen. I am also sorry for some of these inconveniences caused. We have replaced the refrigerator and the BBQ with new ones. For the rest of your comments I am going to answer in private because I think it is the correct and proper way to proceed. Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your comments after your enjoyable stay in our property Casa Serena. 1. I agree that our web site should be updated and I will get onto this immediately. Thank you for pointing this out. 2. There should be a 3 ring binder at the property. Actually there should be one in each bedroom when guests arrive. I will speak to the staff about this and my apologies you did not find them when you arrived at the property. 3. As you say, Sergio & Isolda are wonderful and kind people. Always there to help. You mention you did not have their contact numbers but in my e-mail, of many I sent you, of Tuesday January 28th 2020, which you kindly answered, I sent you their private telephone numbers for you to contact them whenever you needed. Not only that, you also had my private cell phone number to contact me whenever you needed to, although, as you know, I live in Spain. I always answered when one of your guest group members contacted me. I am truly sorry if this was not enough for you, but living in Spain and already hiring two full time staff at my property, is already a huge effort for me. I cannot afford hiring an english speaking person just for meet & greets. Sergio & Isolda, in my opinión do a great job. 4. Casa Serena no longer offers laundry service simply because the drought situation is so severe in the area, that I have decided to help this cause. I understand there was an issue with having to clean some towels you were using but please do not worry, as I threw them away. I will cover this cost. 5. The swimming pool being dirty is the first I hear. I will speak to my staff and my apologies for this. 6. Fridges are working perfectly. The problem is that they cannot be stocked up much. They will not work at their full potential if they are stocked more than they should. 7. I will make a full inventory of the Beach chairs and surf boards in the property. I am so sorry that you were not able to use some of them. 8. Sorry that you had people come into the property selling you things. I have this prohibited to my staff and I will surely reprimand them immediately. I am happy to hear that you had a good time overall and hopefully I will solve all these issues so that when you return you have an even better vacation. Thank you. Overall the property is amazing in my opinion and in the opinion of many other clients so thank you for pointing these things out to help us improve. I hope that if you ever come back to Casa Serena you will enjoy it as much as you did this time. I will work hard with my staff to keep improving. It is extremely difficult to maintain a property that is so near the beach in perfect condition. The salt makes a lot of harm. Reference the garbage piled in our grounds, this has been already taken care of. We had been waiting for weeks to have it taken away and they finally did. I believe it stopped working while you were there as when you arrived it was perfect. We bought a new stove immediately for you but something happened during the installation which was finally sorted out. I undertsand your dissapointment and we are very sorry. In reference to nobody greeting you, I am very surprised. Sergio & Isolda should have been there to open the door to you and show you around. Also to hand over keys. I will speak to them. Did you find the house open when you arrived and you had to find your way around? Please let me know because this is important to me and I will not accept this as we have very efficient staff and if they have not done their job I would like to know why.
