Fantastic villa & pool in glorious secluded location
The villa is set up in the mountains, giving a wonderful sense of freedom and space. We enjoyed weaving up the twisting roads and country lanes, and were warmly welcomed by the owner, who gave us a tour of the villa, pool and fruit and veg garden.
The interior is very modern and stylish, feeling more like a hotel than a rental property (in a good way). We particularly enjoyed the super-comfy beds. Kitchen was clean, new and worked perfectly too.
The pool was in excellent condition, and was always at a swimmable temperature, day or night. Our hostess was very quick to answer any questions, and sort out any issues when they arose - a small problem with the hot water, which didn't impact our stay at all.
As well as the glorious views across the valley, and feeling of wonderful remoteness, the local amenities are surprisingly close - a lovely family run taverna is a 10min walk even with children.
The fruit and veg garden gave us tomatoes, melon, cucumbers, strawberries and peaches. Seeing what was ripe for breakfast was one of the many pleasures each morning.
All in all, great place, helpful owner, and a glorious holiday.
