We were so excited to stay at this home. We flew across the country and paid a large sum of money to stay 5 days over the 4th of July weekend. It was in a perfect location and is a very nice home. Unfortunately the rental management company is doing a very poor job of cleaning this beach home. The doors were filthy with grime all round the knobs and looked as if they hadn't been cleaned in months. This is particularly disturbing considering COVID. The picture frames had thick dust, there was a ring in the tub from the previous uses, sand in the washing machine, the bottom drawer to the oven was covered in a thick layer of pet hair and dust, window sills all dusty and dead bugs on them. I swept the floor and there was a large pile of pet hair (we didn't bring a pet), there was cockroach feces in three of the cubpoards which I had to wipe and vacuum, and we encountered 4 cockroaches which we killed. We were so dissappointed and embarassed to have our family over for dinner. The management company did send someone to clean the doors and tub and wipe the pictures covered in dust after we complained, but there was still so much filth as the place really needed a deep clean and exterminator. I am sorry to have to write this review because I know it's not the owner's fault. They did say they would refund my $150.00 cleaning fee which is a small concession considering that we paid thousands to stay there. We will never stay at a place managed by Coastal Realty again. Despite the horrible condition we made the most of it and would stay again if it were managed by a different company with proper cleaning.
