Two friends and I stayed at this home while in Cartersville to watch our sons play at Lake Point. It's a great location- only about a 15 min drive to the complex. We were blown away at how nicely Brian had remodeled this home. It was also one of the most well appointed houses I've ever rented. From crockpots to wine openers, blenders to tupperware, this house had it ALL. There were many other thoughtful touches such as extra pillows, linens and blankets, soap for dishes and laundry, even toothbrush holders in the bathrooms. I think Brian thought of it ALL and made sure every detail was perfect. The mattresses were the most comfortable I've ever slept on! We enjoyed hanging out in the big open living room during down time. We also ended up eating a few meals of cheese, crackers and fruit around the spacious kitchen island because it was so inviting. The hot & humid weather prevented us from using the deck or grill but it looked nice. Brian was extremely communicative and I felt very comfortable knowing about the house in advance. The only surprise was a very VERY steep driveway which I didn't like but grew more confident with throughout our stay. Brian explained that the top portion of the concrete driveway has a "lip" around the edges so you would feel that and literally have to accelerate over it to go off of it. Once I knew that, I knew I was fine! LOL The house looks very pretty at the top of the hill and it is nice to be up a little higher. It's on a wooded lot which helps keep the temperatures down inside the house during those sticky dog days of summer. We discovered that throughout a weeklong baseball tournament at Lake Point, a few or more games are played at area high school fields. We drove 30-60 min each day depending on where our game was, but our friends in hotels had the same situation. There is really no place to stay where you will be close to EVERYTHING so you might as well stay 15 min from the Complex where 3 of our 7 games were. We also discovered that Cartersville is a very cute town with lots of adorable shops filled with super cute and interesting clothes, accessories, antiques, and more. Leave room in your suitcase for all the extra "souvenirs" you'll be bringing home. We also had some fabulous food in Cartersville. It's a wonderful town to stay near and explore. You can't go wrong with this house. Brian is very accessible for any Qs or anything we needed. It was a great stay!
