Nice location

Great location. Sweet flat was clean and well laid out. Sofa bed was also comfortable.

Clean, functional apartment. Great central location. Only one set of towels for 6 day stay (nothing in 1/2 bath), no Kleenex, no paper towels, no coffee filters…

Varenna Family Vacation

Amazing location in Piazza S. Giorgio. Clean and equipped with all the essentials. Perfect place for our family of five - two of our teenage daughters shared a room, and our oldest slept on the pull-out. Definitely would go back.

Beautiful apartment, great location

The photos don’t do the apartment justice. Comfortable beds, spacious, clean and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Very convenient location off the main square. Only issue is church bells ringing at 7am! Be aware there’s no elevator so you need to carry luggage up two floors.

Perfect for our family!

We loved this flat! It’s steps away from the water, shops, restaurants, a small grocery store, and the town center. It was our home base for 3 days and couldn’t have been better. Super clean, easy to do laundry and easy check in and out. The only thing I’d recommend is if you’re checking in late ask ahead of time for walking directions to the flat! Enjoy!!

A wonderful location for a week!

We had a wonderful time in the flat - we couldn't have picked a better location! We were close to everything, and it was great to be able to cook some dinners in the flat - we had everything we needed and the little store had fresh pastas that we made into some nice dinners. We had a couple of days of solid rain, and we enjoyed staying in and working on a puzzle. We also really appreciated the air conditioning on the really hot days that preceded the rain. We would definitely recommend the flat!

Modern spacious apartment in the ideal location

Photos do not do it justice ,balcony’s are bigger than in reality .Clean and spacious .Fancesca was a pleasure to deal with .She was so helpful and informative from booking the accommodation and transport to and from the airport.We were extremely well looked after . It was all perfect ,only the seal on the bottom of the shower door needs to be replaced to stop water leaking onto the floor .

Perfect Location

Very roomy, clean, convenient flat. All appliances worked well. Kitchen well equipped. Sarah & Francesca very helpful & prompt in responding to email inquiries. Flat in the heart of Varenna but on a quiet side street. Only caveat: flat is on third floor & not elevator. But stairs wide & have sturdy banister. We’d rent flat again.

Pros:Place was fine for our group of 4. Met our requirements. Location was great. Neat remote control of skylights. Safe and quiet (although you will have church bells going - which I was fine with). We had fun visit Cons: Shower stall leaked onto bathroom floor (shower drain pan & caulk issue). Caulk staining around shower. Kitchen was not loaded with pots/pans if you wanted to do your own cooking, Television and remote were subpar. Furniture was worn and dated.

Lost power and bad customer service

Overall, I would not rent this property or from Varenna Holiday again. The check in process is not the smoothest since you have to go to their office to check in and out (at specific times). They only give you one key to the property. There were also only 4 towels provided (even though we had 2 adults and 3 children) and no extra sheets/blankets/pillows. All of this was not a big deal and could be overlooked; however, on our last night there was a big storm and we lost power around 7:30pm and the host was completely unhelpful in resolving the issue. I messaged and called the host while I still had internet (no WiFi since the power was out). But only received the response of there was nothing that could be done we just needed to follow the instructions in the manual. My husband and I both followed step my step the instructions left and the power was still not restored. The host did nothing to resolve the power issue until 8:00am when we were checking out. To make matters worse, blamed us for the lack of power and for not following the instructions correctly. But never offered any assistance last night. I would never rent from them again as it doesn’t appear they care at all what the guest experience is and are unwilling to assist in a timely fashion.

Buongiorno, Thank you for your feedback. Please note that we are surprised about this review. As written on the check in instructions, check in/out are at our office. Please note that we offer on-site check in with an additional cost. Shold you have needed an additional set of keys, it should have been communicated during your stay. Additionally, please note that our accommodations are prepared for the total number of guests which means there were 5 sets of towels in the accommodation (3 towels per guest). Should you have liked additional towels and/or sheets, it should have been communicated. In regards to the severe storm that affected the entire area that evening, please note that our staff responded in a timely manner asking you to follow the instructions listed in the apartment manual. You mentioned you did but power not not restored. Our staff tried understanding if it was the nieghborhood that lost power or just the building. They messaged you, called you, and followed up past 10 pm. When we received notification that power was still down at 5 am, our staff stopped by before office hours to check on you. We would like to highlight the fact that the instructions in the manual were not followed, that is the reason why power was not restored that evening. Even though we were told that all the steps were taken, the switch of the main panel was not pulled up. This is something in which you need to take responsibility for. Best regards

Modern, clean and spacious in a great location.

Very impressed with the apartment. It looks better in person than in the photos. It’s on a top floor and has a remote powered skylight in the living room and master bedroom. It’s a super bright little apartment which was recently renovated. Owners were easy to deal with.
