Great, great location. If you ever been to any of the coastal cities in Italy, you know the pain of dealing with carrying your luggage to your hotel. This apartment is right off the main road very easy to get at and in the center of everything. Close to the docks to take a ferry or private boats. The host are super nice and helpful.

Lovely little place

Lovely apartment very clean and everything you need to self cater simply in the little kitchen. Nice garden and outside space with views over the lake. The apartment is in the eves of a townhouse and therefore has low sloping ceilings for those that are tall.

Great location near the ferry

This apartment is perfect for up to 3 guests who want to enjoy Varenna and the Lake Como area by ferry! We really enjoyed watching the sunset each evening from our garden overlooking the area where the ferries come and go. We felt very safe with the outer locking gate and door to the cottage like apartment. It was quiet and peaceful, and the village square is just a short few minutes walk. We visited several of Como’s villages and Varenna is by far the most beautiful!

Great overall

Great apartment. Pics don't show, but there are 3 a/c units, which was great because it was unusually hot during our stay. Also, the garden looks out onto the lake, but again the pics online don't really show this. My only complaint is that I had to pay 5 euros per day for wifi, which should have been free in my opinion.

Lake view - but where are the windows?

The property we rented (we only stayed there 1 night out of the 4) advertised as lake view but there was none inside the house. Skylights we’re the only view to the outside which was the sky through the skylights. Only hot water for one bath. The ceilings in half of each room were only 4 to 4 1/2 feet high. The staff at office were argumentative and said it was our fault that we didn’t know the specifics of the property. We were not at all happy!!!!!

Thank you for your time This is the description of the flat rented: Varenna Garden has a large outdoor area with a stone table for delicious summer lunches and an equipped garden with beautiful view to enjoy the sunset over a drink So as you can read the view is from the garden, not from the house. Pictures and descriptions are very clear and no other guest complained about the lack of view from inside. For the hot water we sent someone immediately but they couldn't enter as you kept the keys and we didn't know if we could enter or not

The best location… however it was an unusual property for two tall guests… sloped ceilings in every room..especially not good offer kitchen appliance and tub.No easy way to shower..deep narrow tub with, again, a sloped ceiling.Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. The outdoor grounds were untended for a long time…old dry leaves everywhere
