The property was as advertised and the host was very helpful in providing information on shopping and dining many of which we used. The location in old town was close to many attractions including the seaside. We enjoyed exploring the labyrinth of alleys and streets. The only negative might be outside noise late at night, otherwise we would recommend staying here.

Oversold in terms of space. The kitchen, dining room, 'second' bedroom are all the one space. Teo bathrooms are nice. Handy enough to town, but 1.8kms from the train station. Could never get a taxi from the train station, but that's not this property's problem, just a lack of taxis there.

2 night stay in historic district of Salerno

Mara was very accommodating and friendly. Apartment was smaller and not as attractive as the photos suggest, but the one bedroom was very comfortable. Both washrooms were very small. An okay place for a short stay, but not really set up for lounging. I don’t recommend driving or parking here. We took a ferry to Miaori and it was fantastic. This would be a good location for similar day trips to the Amalfi coast and to see the local historic sites.

Excellent location and host

Very convenient walking location to major sites. Mara gave us lots of recommendations and answered questions. The apartment was well stocked with everything we might need. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the Amalfi coast area.

Exceptional Experience

I can't say enough. A very charming apartment in a truly Italian quarter of town. Here you will enjoy the real feel of Italian life while having easy access to Great restaurants, ferry boats to Amalfi towns and trai station. The most important thing however, is a host that cares and goes the extra mile for you. Mara was great.Enjoy.

Medieval Solerno

First floor in a very old building but nicely maintained No AC but didn’t need it Very clean, host is very committed to ensuring your stay is pleasant The only drawback is the weekly Saturday night block party which is quite loud until 1-2AM. I was there three Saturdays. Oh well , it’s Italy!! lol

A Lovely Centrally Located Apartment

Many thanks for a wonderful stay at Le Petit Bougainville. Our hostess Mara showed us many kindnesses and helpful hints (for example where to buy a strapless bra!) it made our time in Salerno so pleasant. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed being able to watch a little TV after long days of walking. Having a washing machine was a wonderful thing. We appreciated also the restaurant tips. We enjoyed Il Duca and many others. The kitchen was well equipped and little extras like coffee and juice were appreciated as well. We had a lovely time in this well-designed apartment.

The best thing was the kindness of the host who responded promptly to messages and was flexible about arrival time. When we arrived she made sure the apartment was exactly as we needed. Everything we would need for breakfast was provided but Mara also messaged information and directions to the supermarket and a restaurant and which was really helpful
