Westgarth perfectly suited all our requirements: quiet and dog-friendly, with easy access to lovely countryside walks; secure storage for bicycles; a secluded sun-trap outdoor seating area. The cottage was well-stocked with cleaning materials etc and the beds were very comfortable. We had good take-away fish and chips, Indian and pizzas from the village which was only five minutes walk away and we also had an excellent meal in nearby Appletreewick. we found Westgarth a very nice cottage in a very convenient location. Lots of walking to be done direct from the door, and trips out to such places as Fountains Abbey and RHS Harlow Carr done with forward planning because of the current situation. Excellent. We really enjoyed it, as always. We have been every year for about 6years. Parking on the drive is a big advantage. We walked about 50miles in the week, so it’s a perfect centre. Many thanks.
