For peace and quiet you'll struggle to get better. Very comfortable and quaint cottage, we loved it ~ perfect for us. Location and quaint cottage not for everyone, but if you traditionally perfect-imperfection is your thing this is ideal.

Lovely little cottage very near the sea in a quiet little Devon hamlet. Perfect for getting away from it all. Property was spotless. Greeted by a bunch of flowers and a bottle of fizz in the fridge which was a lovely touch. Coffee drinkers should bring ground coffee for the cafetiere. No sign of any critters in the attic that a previous review mentioned. No pubs within walking distance, but can recommend The Hoops Inn for great food and a coaching inn vibe, The Old Smithy Inn for great food and a cosy rural village pub vibe, and The Farmers Arms for something a bit higher end (but still casual) with amazing food (including a tasting menu if you're super hungry).

Lovely get away

Loved the property and the surroundings the weather was typical English but plenty of walking through the woods so stayed dry even when it rained. People had mentioned damp smell it was hardly noticeable one thing to be aware of is the drive it’s steep off of the road so if you have a low fronted vehicle it catches.

Beautiful cottage in a great location (close enough to A39 for getting around, but far enough that you feel like your out in the country). Great (though very rocky) beach just at the bottom of the road. Couple of grumbles though: Not sure if it's damp or all the oak furniture, but my wife's asthma was really playing up. The garden isn't really used - there's an old picnic bench stuck round the side, but nothing that really encourages you to sit outside. Bedrooms are very small - double room didn't even have the floor space to open two suitcases at the same time. Overall it felt a little small and basic to justify the price tag. Not sure if the prices were inflated due to the lock-down, but left feeling a little short changed. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Very warm, comfortable cottage.

Very warm, comfortable cottage. Perfect for a quiet getaway. Just 2 small problems: The driveway needs attention. The garden is not secure for dogs because of work being carried out next door. Hopefully, this will be rectified soon. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay.

Wonderful peaceful vacation.

Wonderful peaceful vacation. Perfect for people wanting to get out of the town and relax. The pebble beach is 60 seconds walk away and you really feel like your on holiday the second you arrive in the hamlet. A really wonderful little cottage.
