Beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean and decorated throughout to a very high spec. The real log fire, big cosy bed, lobby area for muddy boots and front courtyard for dog-washing are all worth a special mention. Everything has been thought about with great care in this cottage, to make your stay that extra bit more comfortable, with some delightful extras including toys, bed, blankets & towels for your dog and a bottle of prosecco and chocolates and dog treats on arrival. There are however a few things that need mentioning, that weren't clear from the description:
The "enclosed garden" is literally the courtyard at the front. Which, although functional, is not big enough to keep an active dog occupied. I mistakenly thought there was a back garden.
Dogs are not allowed upstairs, which, if your pooch isn't used to this, makes it quite a stressful holiday trying to keep them downstairs.
Although it says "open plan" the downstairs is literally one small room; kitchen/breakfast bar/sofa area, so if you like a bit of space or privacy, this wouldn't be for you, and if you have an active dog, as we do, it does start to feel a bit claustrophobic. That said, it is certainly lovely and cosy!
