ビーチに面した豪華なビーチフロントヴィラ、町まで20 M、温水プール（4月〜10月）

We are a British family with long ties to Mallorca through family and dear friends. Both my husband and I have been going to Mallorca since we were small children and now have Spanish and British family living across the island. We have 2 children and 2 dogs. We bought this house so that our children could have a home from home and build Mallorca memories just like my husband and I were lucky enough to do when we were young and Palma airport was no more than a hut. We chose Cala D'or because of the beautiful calas, the pretty white building and because it is close to our relatives but not too close! We were also very keen to have somewhere that the children could be free to come and go without us having to worry about them. They can go to the beach and the town with their friends and cousins and, as they get older, they will be able to go to bars, restaurants and even a few clubs and walk home without us worrying about their taking taxis on the Mallorca roads which can be very dangerous at night. Maybe one of our children will even end up getting married in the little white chapel by Cala D'or.....

We love this house because it has enough bedrooms to stuff full of friends and family and enough local activities (beach, town, marina etc.) that people can come and go without being reliant on cars or lifts. We can all enjoy each other's company without getting on each other's nerves! The house is great for all ages: It has a beautiful pool which can be easily seen from many parts of the house so children can play and parents can see them. The main terrace area can be closed off to keep smaller children away from the pool and we can also put an extra fence round the pool for increased small people safety. We have lots of baby equipment so that you don't need to travel heavy. Teens can come and go freely with a beach and town to entertain them and the adults can relax in style. We also have a downstairs bedroom so that the more mature visitor doesn't need to bother with stairs. It doesn't matter how old you are or what you like to do, there is something for everyone at the Beach House, and that is why we bought it!

We are right on the beach and the sea but the house is set far enough back that we can get away from the ruckus. There is a lovely ice-cream shop and bar at the bottom of the steps on the beach, some great places for jumping off the rocks in the Cala and a scuba diving centre at the back of the beach. The town has all sorts of shops and a great variety of restaurants. For something more upmarket, the marina is a 5 minute walk away across the little paths connecting the calas. There are also some gems of local restaurants in the villages and rural areas around Cala D'or. We like to horse ride and enjoy trips to Rancho Jaume in the national park just a 15 minute drive away. They will also come and pick you up from the villa if you book in advance. We love to walk and Mallorca is beautiful for walking in the winter, such a treat to have the Mondrago National park just up the road.
