The cozy, remodeled double-A frame Single Family home located in Salida, NO shared spaces. Parking for 2 vehicles off street included. A short 10-15 minute walk to downtown restaurants or a 5 min. bike ride. pets encouraged and happily allowed, huge fenced in yard with dog door and a lockable gate which will keep your best friend safe while you are out playing. Large patio in back with view of surrounding hills and Sangre De Cristo range to the East , nice patio in front yard with view of Collegiate Peaks. Washer and dryer in house so you can clean up your biking gear, ride directly to Salida Mountain Trail system and Methodist Mountain Trails. 20 Min. to SKI 100% natural snow at Monarch mountain. A/C available in summer, gas burning heat stove for ambience year round. Full kitchen and extra large bathroom. One Queen sized bed, TV with Netflix in bedroom and second TV in living room with Internet based service including all your favorites plus locals. Comfy chairs and love seat for relaxing. Linens, towels, shampoo/conditioner/soap provided and linens are exceptional white. We pride ourselves on being the cleanest, coziest, pet friendly rental in Salida. Weber BBQ, Ice Maker in freezer, microwave, blender, Keurig and standard coffee pots. Fully stocked kitchen for cooking. All pets must be declared in quantity and prior to booking. VRbo only allows one $ 25 pet fee in booking, we require $25 per pet per stay, additional pet fees can be added as extra fee on initial booking or will be deducted from deposit. Undeclared pets and guests will result in total loss of security deposit. Camping is not allowed in any form on property per City of Salida. Short Term rental license #0243. **Please note, the administration fee on listing is for a voter approved lodging tax starting 1/1/2023 payable to City of Salida PER NIGHT of $15 on top of regular taxes. This tax is to be used to promote affordable and workforce housing in Chaffee County per the City of Salida. We apologize for this fee and hope the City will see fit to offer a reprieve asap.

Jamie was a great communicator. Checked with us a few times as we had an extended stay. We found what we needed quickly and there were instructions on how to operate some items. Quiet neighborhood. We walked and biked around town easily from the property. It is set up for people with a dog. We don't have a dog. The place was clean. If not for all the dog amenities, we wouldn't have even thought a previous renter had brought in a dog. Great size for a couple. We enjoyed having a backyard to sit outside and relax too.

I really appreciate it when a VRBO stay delivers as advertised - Jaime’s place totally did that. Clean, everything worked and it was what we expected based on the posting. Jaime was a responsive host who was not at all intrusive.

This property was a perfect size for 2 adults and a dog. Fenced yard was secure. Shower was a step in and large enough to move around or sit if needed. It was very clean and has everything for a lengthy stay. The host is accommodating and communication is prompt. A bit of construction at the moment but nothing too inconvenient. The new road and sidewalks will enhance the property.

Cute house with lots of room. Dog can actually run around the whole outside property. Enjoyed home very much, good location, great scenery, close to town. Even got to view deer from time to time.

Christmas holidays in Salida

My husband and I love to spend the week of Christmas in or around Salida. We have favorite places to hike and eat (Sushi Thai and the Boat House). We wanted a place that was close to town, where we could take our dogs. This place was great! The yard is fenced in, so the dogs could roam; the owner left all kinds of dog-support items (towels, leashes, bags, treats, etc) so the pups enjoyed their stay was well. While the place isn't fancy - it is clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. All kinds of extras like spices, cleaning supplies, etc. We'd definitely stay again when we're in the area. The only drawback was that the internet wasn't the fastest, but - hey! we were on vacation anyway.

Hot springs getaway

Very close to everything by car or a short walk. The house is supplied with everything you need and a fenced yard for the dog! Very comfortable bed. We even drove to Buena Vista for a soak!

Cozy home and glorious views!

We’re all, including our pup, so comfortable in this little gem of a place. The town is so walkable and trails along the Arkansas River are nearby. Jamie is so welcoming and concerned with everyone’s (including our fog, Travis) comfort!

Autumn Vacation

Very clean and neat with many amenities not often included in other rental properties. Owner may need to add some gravel at some point as some areas are getting thin. Everything worked fine. Reasonably priced.

Lovely home perfect for a dog

Easy to check in and everything needed was there! Would have been nice to know about the road closure where the house is located. Got nervous when ibsaw the barricades but just drive through them! Highly recommended!

My husband and I first came to Salida in 2002 and moved to Salida area full time in 2006. We came to the mountains to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and to enjoy the mountains. We enjoy rafting, hiking, mountain biking, skiing and snow shoeing. We also love animals and encourage you to bring your best friend on your trips to Salida.

We bought this home in 2008 and renovated it from top to bottom. We did all the work ourselves and take great pride in having taken something from disaster to diamond. The location is perfect for everything Salida and surrounding. The home is comfortable, clean, a wonderful getaway for your and your pup(s) and close to downtown.

Doggy door in place that you can use or keep closed (whichever you prefer). The yard is totally fenced in and has a safety clasp on gate for your pup to be safe. We offer shed storage for your bikes/skis/etc that can be pad locked with key provided. We offer off street parking and anytime access with key pad entry in case you need to check in late. We have Weber gas grill for all your grilling needs and view of all the mountains 360. Enjoy!
