Hosts were very warm and helpful. Location is fantastic. Spacious unit. Kitchen is well stocked, appreciated how easy meal prep was. Per other reviews: yes there is noise between units but nothing excessive and owners are not noisy- just typical ‘upstairs’ sounds. On street parking was always available. Appreciated available laundry. Loved proximity to beach, great restaurants and a local grocer. Thanks to great hosts for the stay!

Awesome OB rental

We did a short term rental here. It was a beautiful home in a great location, with superb hosts, convenient to all of SF. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Sunset Getaway

I enjoyed my month at this warm and friendly apartment one block from Ocean Beach. My little dog Betsie also had a fine time. Hosts Paul and Kathleen were super accommodating and instantly responsive. The apartment has everything you need, the neighborhood is safe and attractive. There is good shopping and restaurants nearby, and great beach walking almost outside your door. I hope to return and recommend it highly!

Awesome house

This is a great way to enjoy the city. We loved the house and the location. We highly recommend this property. Close to Golden Gate Park, transportation, the Zoo and restaurants. Paul was very friendly and accommodating. The house has a great yard.

The Beach House is spacious and in a great location......

The Beach House is a unicorn. We were in town for an event and touring some family around. As former SF residents we knew finding a place that would fit all of our needs wasn't going to be easy. Here's the list: -Large enough for 4 adults and a baby to not be on top of one another for 4 days. -Reasonably quiet. Bucket bands, protests horns, sirens, etc. are all part of the audio flavor that is San Francisco, but sometimes not great for an angry baby that needs a nap. -Location, location, location. We needed to be able to show off the city. It was the reason for the trip. Like I said, we were looking for a unicorn. The Beach House fit everyone of our needs. The house is comfortable, spacious, and well equipped. The neighborhood offered the environment and location we needed. The outer sunset is a great area with waves, restaurants, bars, and markets all within walking distance. Quick Uber rides got everyone back and forth to the more touristy parts of the city. An added bonus were the friendly accessible hosts. We enjoyed our stay at the The Beach House and hope it will be available when we return.

Great Location and Comfortable Place to Stay

This is a great location especially if you actually want to stay in a neighborhood and out of the touristy areas. Easy access to the beach, there is a cross walk just down the street to get to across the busy road to the beach. While the water is cold and it is not a swimming beach it is a great sandy beach to walk along, play in the sand, search for shells, watch the surfers and the sunset. A great way to start the morning is a walk along the bike/pedestrian trail before the beach, lots of pretty vegetation and flowers. You can walk about a half mile to Judah and enjoy some coffee and Irish Soda bread with berries at the Java Beach Cafe. This is also where you can catch the N Judah train downtown. The place was bigger than we thought, the living room was roomy and we were able to have some friends over for dinner. The backyard and hot tub are great as well. Yes, this is city living, you have the owners living above you that you can hear, that is typical in these multi family units. We were able to find parking within a block. I would definitely stay here again. My only suggestions would be for a microwave, need a place to heat leftover Chinese. Recommendations: Java Beach Cafe Noriega Produce Market Tour the Gregangelo Museum (Not your typical touristy museum, a very unique experience) Rent Segways to explore Golden Gate Park especially when the park is closed to vehicles. Golden Gate Park Segway Rentals 415-716-9910 (fun activity with teens)

Super Beach Haus. Schlechte Parkplätze.

Das Beach Haus ist wirklich super! Es war sauber und entsprach der Beschreibung. Paul ist nett und hilfsbereit! Der einzige Minuspunkt geht an die Parkplätze, man hat kein eigenen Parkplatz sonder muss an der Straße parken die meistens schon voll ist. Auf die Schilder zu welchen Zeiten man nicht parken darf sollte man unbedingt beachten sonst zahlt man 76,00 Dollar Strafe. Sonst ein sehr guter Aufenthalt!

PERFEKT!

Sehr schöne, praktisch eingerichtete Wohnung, mit allem, was man so braucht. Sehr angenehm fanden wir, dass alles für die ersten Tage einschließlich Gewürze, Kaffee, Wasser und selbst ein paar Bierchen, vorhanden waren. Nur wenige Meter zum Pazifik, gute Verkehrsanbindung, einige ordentliche Gaststätten in der nächsten Umgebung,sehr ruhige Wohnlage.

The appartment is nice with lots of room and a nice kitchen.

We missed a washing machine. The beach is lovely and some great SF sights are around the corner. Parking was not always easy for us. We had a great time and would go there again.

Close to the beach, quiet neighborhood

The apartment is nice and close to the beach. Some things were not available- owners truck was parked blocking the driveway the entire time so there wasn’t a chance to park close to load/unload suitcases. We tried to pull up next door and neighbors came out and told us we couldn’t block to unload our stuff. No paper towels or kitchen towels. (Or beer in the fridge which was listed in our welcome letter). The couch’s are both futons and not comfortable to sit on. The place is clean and beds were comfortable. Location is great! Pizza place was yummy and within walking distance. Kids liked the books and toys- surprised there were no sand toys though. Overall it was a nice stay.

Clean, cozy stay near the beach in SF.

The place is the entire second floor of a 3-story building with the host family above. Paul and his family weren't there during my stay, but Paul was helpful and available via phone. Ocean Beach is very close by as is a running trail, which my daughter loved. All-in-all, I really recommend this VRBO if you're looking for a place a bit away from downtown or the GG Park, but closer to the water. The stores and restaurants nearby are neighborhood places, not large franchises, which is nice. It gives Noriego Street a community feel along those blocks.

Loved our stay!

The location was awesome. Close to Golden Gate Park and the beach! The home was very spacious and the bathroom is updated. The owners were easily available for any concerns. My only warning is, don’t park even a fraction in front of a neighbors driveway, you will get towed and it’s NOT CHEAP! Overall loved the home and would HIGHLY recommend it!

Great Location!

Our stay was lovely. We were able to have our adult children over for dinners and games. The walls are pretty paper thin so we had to be quieter with our laughing. Paul was nice enough to call and request we try to be quieter. We are a family that likes to laugh and play games so this is the only issue with the property we encountered. The beds were really comfortable, the views lovely and the kitchen was supplied with all that we needed. Thanks Paul for hosting us. We enjoyed our stay! We had beautiful weather.

Perfect setting!

Perfect spot!

We stayed here at the beginning of a trek from San Francisco to San Diego - it was the perfect spot for my family of 4. It was comfy and clean and relaxing. I’d definitely stay here ago if we come back.

Perfect 3 night stay

The house is lovely. Everything you need is there. If you're a runner or a walker it's the perfect place for both. We walked daily to the Golden Gate golf course which was very beautiful and reasonable priced.It was a fun course to play and club rentals were inexpensive . The beds are comfortable. I wish our stay had been longer.

Location, location, vacation

We loved our stay. The owners were on-site which was great. They were available, helpful and very responsive which can make or break a homeaway stay in our experience. The kitchen was well stocked. There were even toys for the kids which was so sweet. The beds were comfy, everyone slept well. Everything was clean and great. Location was awesome for the price - right down the street from the zoo and the beach and a cute market, cafe, and restaurants. Not enough to take off a star but the owners do live upstairs (with a little one) and there were a few hours of crazy loud stomping and banging (just by nature of being below someone it sounds soooo loud). I don't think we would have cared if we didn't have our own little ones that were going to bed super early because of the time change for us. Most people with normal sleeping hours should not be affected, but just a heads up. Would stay here again regardless. Loved it.

Cozy , clean and convenient

Overall we had a very pleasant stay. The owner was very nice and responsive to the issues we experienced and addressed them right away. This unit is very child friendly as they even had toys and books on the shelves. Also a short walk to the beach and nearby muni station. Easy street parking was a plus.

Clean, quiet, close to everything

We enjoyed this beach home over the New Years weekend. It was quiet and close to everything especially the parks. Great for walking and enjoying being outdoors. Jacuzzi is well-maintained and fun to enjoy after a long day of hiking and touring the surrounding area. Close enough to the city to make trips there easy.

We moved here for the surf and stayed for the community. The neighborhood keeps getting better with more restaurants and amenities. The Great Highway is now closed to cars so there is a great track for running and biking!

Having a hot tub near the beach is the best b/c the water is cold in the ocean, but warm in the backyard!
