Quiet complex, nice mixture of owners and vacationers. Didn’t need to drive anywhere, walk to restaurants and beach. Owners are very responsive before, during and after stay

Such a cute place! Stocked with tons of amenities like lots of beach gear available to use, portable crib, white noise machine, extra blankets, games, dvd’s to watch, books, dishes, pots and pans, and spices. It’s also in a great location; just a couple of blocks to the beach and right in the middle of restaurants and shopping! The only minor complaint I have is that the bathtub would fill up with water when taking a shower and was very slow to drain; it also seemed like it could’ve used a little deeper scrub. Again, very minor thing with the whole overall stay. I will definitely be staying here again!!

Very nice. Provided "beach towels" were not towels at all. Only one umbrella so we purchased another and left it for future guests.

Great location

Straddles the area between Downtown Carlsbad and the beach making it all walkable. We never needed to use our car once we parked. We would stay here again next time we visit.

Worth every cent

The location of the property in proximity to the beach and GOOD restaurants was fantastic. A short walk anywhere and the neighborhood felt very safe. The property was beautifully maintained, the apartment very clean and well decorated. The provided beach gear was a blessing - the boogey board in particular. We will book this property for future stays.

Best location

Our first mini vacation in Haustay was a blast! What a fantastic way to celebrate our Birthdays, Anniversary & Retirement in Carlsbad! Our condo unit is accessible to nearby restaurants, stores, & of course the beach! We are seniors & everything close is a big plus! We're looking forward to our next visit & hopefully stay in the same place!

Location Location Location

Loved the property! Location was perfect and loved that we were right next to Carlsbad Village and the beach was a five minute walk away. The moment you walk onto the property you are greeted with a beautiful and lush landscape and are shielded from the noise and bustle of the town around you. The condo is decorated very cute and was very clean. It was a perfect get away for my wife and I. Would recommend.

Excellent

This is an easy 5+ star rating. Immaculately clean condo in a perfect location. Never took my car out of the (reserved) parking space because everything and anything is within an easy walk. The owners have installed two a/c units that get the place cool very quickly if it’s warm outside. Quiet neighbors, beautiful grounds… can’t really say enough good things about the unit, and I definitely look forward to returning.

We have stayed at the property many times including the Gage house and other apartments. You can’t do anything about it but the parking situation is poor. The security screen is anything but. There is a hole in the bottom that gives an indication that is all you have to do is take a hammer to and you could right through it. The lower left corner of the door the screw is coming out. When you leave there is no way to lock the door. The couch and occasional chair need to be replaced, very uncomfortable. The Roku cable is a poor choice, no Fox News where you can get a line up of popular hosts. The kitchen doors and drawers need replacement. The bathroom doors and drawers are literally falling apart. The shower head is not secure. It flops around. The next thing to happen is the tile will get cracked. The bed was great and the dinning set was great. We also loved the new windows.We will be back next year for a longer time.

A perfect get away

We took our son for his 10th bday trip. The location could not be topped. Walking distance to shops and eateries (and amazing coffee) and the beach. Had all the beach items we would need. A comfy bed for us and he slept on the pull out couch bed. We had a small kitchen which was all we needed. The neighbors were amazing. We had an incredible time. We made it to the zoo. Legoland. Solana beach, an amazing slot canyon hike minutes from solana and went to see the sea lions! Very great space!

A gem of a way to visit Carslbad

The unit was part of a complex just a block from the beach and within walking distance of many great restaurants. The units surround a grass area with a gas grill which we used to cook dinner one night. Even though it was in the heart of the beach town, it was very quiet. All the other tenants were respectful of the after 10 quiet time.Having a designated covered parking spot was very convenient as the weekends get very busy. The owners were very kind and kept in touch to make sure we didn't have any questions. It was very clean and homey. The bed was very comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was great. We will definitely be staying again if they will have us! We can't emphasize what a great location it is.

Carlsbad Convenience

The place was very clean and convenient to local restaurants and the beach. It had great amenities, including boogie boards, streaming service capabilities and Wi-Fi. While the A/C system was not ideal, the front door had a secure screen door that could be locked, and, when the bedroom window was open, there was great cross-ventilation. All in all, if we are ever in the area, we would stay here again.

Blocks to the beach, quiet, great location

This unit was amazing. We loved our stay and had great communication with the owners. Will be back. Pros: A block to the beach, restaurants, shops, Starbucks, etc. Unit is a full one bedroom, one bath, with kitchen, D/W, kitchen utensils, cookware, fridge, etc Had body board, chairs, cooler, etc to use to take to the beach Very comfortable, cozy, quiet Own covered parking space A/C Remodeled and looks very clean and nice Owners were pleasant and quick to respond Cons: A/C units are portable units so took awhile to cool down. Almost didn't see the one in the bedroom closet. My husband runs very warm, so likes it cool. Shower knobs are spikey so hurts to turn knobs off / on Overall loved it and can't wait to come back.

Great place to stay

Coming to Carlsbad for a ladies get together, this was a perfect place to stay for myself and a friend of mine. It’s a cute place, clean and in a safe location. A great thing about it is when you walk out of the complex you’re just steps from town and a block away from the beach. Everything is so easy to get to. Even though the complex is right near town, the location of the unit was great and it was very quiet at night. The parking space is a little tight but it was manageable and great to have since parking is at a minimum. The owners are very responsive if you need them and they provided coffee and some snacks. We were very satisfied with our stay!

Great Time in Carlsbad Village

I rented this cute condo for myself, daughter and 2 children (5 & 7). We had a wonderful time.. Everything was stocked for your needs including bottled waters, extra towels, extra blankets and the beds were absolutely comfortable. We could walk across the street to beach and you're right there in the Village. Cafe Elyse is great spot for breakfast and the Pizza place on the corner has amazing food.
