The view is the first thing that strikes you when you unlock the front door. It's magnificent.
The house has been cleverly designed and aptly named.
The foldback doors give you a real sense of living in the treetops and the birdsong is entrancing. It's the view across the lake and over to Cellito that makes this a beautiful place to holiday.
Being able to walk down to the water's edge and walk across the Lake to the beach was a marvellous experience. We arranged for a kayak and tinny to go fishing and spent a lot of time on the water.
Waking up to the sunrise from either of the queen size beds is just incredible. You never tire of it.
The third bedroom with 4 bunk beds is best suited to younger, lighter (and shorter) people.
There's an excellent sound system and TV with all the trappings.
The compact 2 burner stove took a bit of getting used to and once we adjusted our timing and sequencing of the meals, we were fine.
The Miele washer/dryer all-in-one combo is a bit tricky, so just pack a few more clothes and a couple of extra beach towels so you don't have to wash as often.
Our intention was to get back to Smith's Lake, relax, reconnect and shrug off the year. Thanks to the Noreaster, that's precisely what we were able to do.
It was just the tonic.
Planning our next visit.
