Direct Oceanfront Studio With Private Lanai

Enjoy spectacular unobstructed 180-degree views from our direct oceanfront vacation rental studio condo at the Valley Isle Resort, located directly on the beach in beautiful West Maui. Swim, snorkel, relax by the heated swimming pool or just enjoy the breathtaking oceanfront views of the islands of Lanai and Molokai, rainbows, windsurfers, and whales (in season).

The condo includes a large, private lanai, cable TV, DVD, CD/MP3 player, and private phone. The living room furnishings include queen-size sofa bed, and a comfortable desk to set up your laptop and stay in touch with home using the free high-speed wireless Internet connection. The condo will be cleaned prior to your arrival and all bed and bath linens are provided.
With the unbeatable view, you may choose to enjoy your morning coffee on the lanai, mix up a tropical drink and watch the sunset, or prepare a special romantic dinner. Our up-to-date kitchen has everything you need whatever your culinary endeavors. It is fully stocked with a variety of small appliances, dinnerware and cookware, in addition to the full-size range and refrigerator with ice maker, microwave, dishwasher, and disposal.

Our 3rd floor studio features a queen-size Murphy bed with hotel quality Serta mattress and box spring, which pulls down from the wall for a comfortable night's sleep and stores easily during the day to provide a spacious living area. Ceiling fans in the living area, kitchen and bath, and the security screen door allow for excellent circulation of the tropical breezes to keep you comfortable without the need for air conditioning, so you can fall to sleep to the sound of the waves. A laundry room is located just down the hall.

Resort amenities include heated pool, gas BBQ grills, free on-site parking and a friendly front desk staff to help you enjoy your stay on Maui. Golf, tennis, sightseeing and shopping are within minutes of the quiet, tropical surroundings. A variety of dining experiences are within easy walking distance of the Resort.

Whether your stay is to celebrate a special occasion, share time with family and friends, or just take a much needed break, our comfortable condo at the Valley Isle Resort will make you feel at home and provide unbeatable oceanfront living at a very affordable price.

Due to rising tides, we have had to sandbag our beach area to protect the building. During limited times of the year, depending on currents, our beach may vary in size. Even when our beach is not at its best, you can explore the many other beautiful beaches on Maui and come back to enjoy the spectacular oceanfront views and sunsets from our lanai, and have the waves lull you to sleep at night.

The studio was perfect for me. I stayed 3 weeks in February. Great location, amazing view. It had everything I needed except for batteries in the flashlight when the power went out during a storm. lol But luckily I had my phone. I highly recommend and would definitely stay there again if I go back to Maui.

Great location, fantastic view

Such a relaxing stay at this clean and cozy property. Saw whales and sea turtles everyday from our lanai. Very quiet area with a couple of good restaurants in walking distance.

Great ocean view

Superb ocean view. Enjoyed watching whales in distance, turtles close by, and even treated to spinner dolphins in distance one day.

Awesome place with excellent views!!

We enjoyed staying at Jim and Sue’s place. The views are amazing and the location is a short drive to beautiful beaches and restaurants. The condo has a homey feel and we were sad to have to leave! Definitely recommend and will check to see if the condo is available on our next Maui trip.

Beautiful Spot

Loved this spot! It is a great location with an unbeatable view. The condo is small but that worked well for just two of us, and it was very clean. Jim was super kind and helpful in the midst of frustrating delays with our airline. We would definitely stay here again!

Awesome place

Very nice condo. Second time staying in this condo. Would highly recommend. We saw a lot of whales out in the distance from the lanai & Some turtles close to shore.

Condo on beach

Good location, great view with whales jumping and turtles swimming by, plenty of parking, quite at night. The place is in need of updating. The sandy beach is left next door and over a few sand bags. Overall its not bad.

Awesome view

Since we’ve been to Maui several times we’ve done the tourist things so we spend most of the time enjoying the view/water. The Murphy bed was very easy to use and we used the kitchen many times.

Lovely studio overlooking the ocean

I'm so grateful to have had a wonderful week in Jim's condo. The location is great near lots of places to walk to to eat and within 15 minutes of some beautiful beaches. The bed was comfortable and the provisions in the kitchen were excellent. Jim was very responsive and I couldn't have enjoyed myself more thank you so much!

Great Stay!

The owners were easy to communicate with and resourcesful. The condo was absolutely perfect and the location was beautiful. Stunning sunsets every night and short drive from anywhere you want to go on this side of the island. The sound of the waves crashing was so peaceful I had to find a you tube channel to mimic them when I got home. But you can't beat the real thing. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Paradise

The location is superb. We watched whales and rainbows with our morning coffee on the lanai every morning. We listened to the waves and watched the sunset and the conch every evening. The studio was the perfect size for 2 people and had everything we needed. The host was very responsive and addressed our concerns promptly. Location was also great-close to beaches, snorkelling and hiking. Can’t wait to go back!

Perfect

Owner was easy to contact pre-trip. Accommodations met my needs. Murphy bed was comfortable, the shower hot water came on immediately, and there were hooks (not sure why most places don’t have them!). I went to Maui to volunteer and the location was perfect for the places I went. And, I have always loved the neighborhood feel in this section of the island.

The best view

The view of Molokai and Lanai islands and the ocean is beautiful. The sunsets spectacular. No beach directly in front, only sand bags. There is a beach next door. High tide a bit loud, but otherwise wonderful.Everything good. Easy checkin. Maybe carpet upgrade in future. Mahalo

Heaven

We enjoyed our visit and this is the perfect place to see whales, turtles and beautiful sunsets. Listening to the ocean every night makes you sleep like a baby. The condo was clean. They do need to make sure there are enough blankets, we only had one for the bed and we were not able to contact anyone to bring another for the fouton.

Paradise

The perfect home away from home! The pictures on this listing do not do the property justice. It was amazing. The bed was so comfortable, loved the updated bathroom, and the view was like no other. The grounds of the resort were beautiful. I was worried about not having AC but it wasn’t bad at all, we actually got a little cool in the evenings. Would definitely book again!

We did email you the code to the entry door, and when we didn't get an acknowlegement that you received those documents, we sent you a reminder and still did not receive a repsonse. A Gem

There are only 2 downfalls to staying here. One, the very tiny bugs, my husband did not particularly enjoy these guys bit we were warned. There is a pool area if you want to escape the sun on the beach, however I call this area The Voetex. It is very windy and not enjoyable for me. There was a little matter i wanted to discuss and I tried calling the property manager but wasn't able to dial out for some reseon. Definitely user error but the owner was communicative via email. Good location! A perfect home away from home.

The condo was as advertised. Very comfortable, especially the murphy bed. Loved the balcony & view

Had a great time. The condo was very nice. The murphy bed was very comfortable. We cooked breakfast in every morning and ate on the balcony, now that's paradise. The next to the last morning we were there, saw one of the most amazing whale breaching performances that you'll ever see. At least two adult males, one was HUGE, and one younger whale starting breaching. The 2 adults breached over a dozen times (we lost count) and the younger one at least a half dozen times. Absolutely incredible. We also grilled some supper meals. The resort has 3 super nice Weber gas grills available for use by the pool, which are totally cleaned every day. The parking was free, not the case at a lot of the other resorts. Got to meet Jim and Sue, the condo owners, super nice!! Very nice pool area. Had a really great time in Maui, but that starts with where you stay, and this place was wonderful.

Beautiful Stay

We stayed 7 nights at this property. We loved every second of being here. The views from the balcony were incredible. We chose to eat many meals out here, as the full kitchen provided a great space to cook up fresh food from the local farmers markets. The bed was surprisingly comfortable & the sounds of the ocean along with the fresh breeze created a luxury sleeping environment. The bathroom was very nice, separate toilet/tub from sink was nice for 2 people getting ready. Many provided amenities (coffee pot, iron, toaster, etc.), all in great condition. Only thing to note is that there is no a/c. It did get slightly warm in the evenings when the sun was hitting the balcony. We found it to be helpful keeping the sliding door open all day, having the ceiling fans on & keeping the blinds on either side of the door closed at all time. The condo is a very short drive to Lahaina where there are many shops/ restaurants. There is not a ton within a short walking distance but we did enjoy the beach bar at the condos next door as well as the coffee shop in the strip mall across the street. Overall a great stay, would recommend for couples (2 people max. fit in this space)!

We took our first trip to Hawaii for our honeymoon in 1982, and we fell in love with Maui. After several annual visits we decided to purchase a Maui condo so that we had a place to call home for our return visits. In 1986 we purchased unit #307 at The Valley Isle Resort, totally redecorated it, and placed it in a vacation rental program. After many years of personal enjoyment and very good rental experience, we also purchased unit #1009 in 1997.

We take great pride in decorating and maintaining both condos, and we try to give them our own personal touch. We know how important it is to us to have all the comforts of home while we are on vacation, and we try to provide that same experience for our rental guests.

Both of us have lived our entire lives in Minnesota. We both had long computer related careers with a large Twin Cities based insurance conglomerate. When the company offered an early retirement option in late 1992, we took advantage of the opportunity and retired from the working world. We continue to live in Minnesota, and never have any trouble finding ways to fill our retirement hours.

We have four grown sons. The oldest lives in Vero Beach, FL with his wife and 2 children. The next oldest lives in Seattle with two children. Third in line lives in the Twin Cities area and is married with no children, and the youngest lives in the Franklin, MA with his wife and 3 children.

We spend much time traveling, to the West and East Coasts to visit our kids and grandkids, and to Maui at least twice a year for a month or so at a time to enjoy and to maintain our condos. We enjoy traveling and our travels to foreign countries include China, Germany, Switzerland and Austria, Italy and surrounding countries(Mediterranean Cruise), New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland.
