Fantastic getaway

My husband, his parents and I enjoyed our time here. We had time to relax and unwind in the house as well being able to spend time at the beach to swim or to fish. Dog friendly and a short stroll (couple of minutes) to the beach - this Stayz is highly recommended.

Nice house nice location

Easy to communicate with property manager, who was very friendly. House is spacious, has great outlook and access to great beaches. Would stay there again.

Definitely the Good Life!

What a wonderful stay we had! The place is fantastic and well supplied and set up with all the creature comforts. Beautiful wildlife at the doorstep and only 50 metres to the beach. Thank you Vicki and Kevin for being fantastic hosts.

Great location. Overall an excellent set up in the house. The downstairs area was a bit smelly (unused, mouldy?). Clean with everything we needed. Beach would be great in better weather.

Great pet friendly getaway

A great place to stay with the whole family, especially if travelling with pets. Terrific location next to a beautiful off-leash dog beach. Unfortunately we had a few issues with the water pump but Al from next door was extremely helpful and assured us that a replacement was on the way.

Beautiful location close to dog friendly beaches. Hardly saw anyone else whilst we were there. So peaceful and beautiful if you want a nice quiet time away.

Fantastic house and location

The Good Life - certainly is just that! Our stay coincided with NSW’s big wet - so first few days we had terrible weather- however the outlook from both front and back was so beautiful- it was easy to drag ourselves away from Netflix, and just stare out the windows at the beautiful trees and nature doing her thing. The beach is so close that when the weather cleared we and our pooch were also able to fully enjoy it. We are looking for dates to rebook and I can’t wait to be back there to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of Bawley. The house had all the creature comforts we needed and just perfect for us. Thank you.

House at Bawley Point.

Loved the house but the dog yard way to small, the backyard should fenced. The dog friendly beach was amazing. We couldn’t fault the house, tv reception iffy. Will be back, just loved our stay. Thank you. Jenny.

Awesome location!

We loved our stay here, but after the 1st night there was no hot water, so we had cold showers the rest of the stay.

Loved our time at the Good Life

The Good Life house was spacious with a relaxed atmosphere. It was comfortable and had most things one would need on a holiday. The location was excellent. Lock the house and walk through the gorgeous reserve and the beach enchanted you!

Comfy stay in a fantastic spot

We’ve stayed here several times before and this place is always so comfortable. Nice and quiet and well equipped. Tv reception wasn’t great so Netflix was a nice option. Would definitely stay here again.

Cosy accommodation and a great location

We had a very comfortable stay. Great location, just a few minutes from the beach. Property manager was very helpful. We had problems accessing the keys to the property (security key) but the property manager was very helpful and let us in. We will visit again.

Young at heart 50 something English- Australian couple - Vicki & Kevin, married for over 2 decades, no kids - prefer dogs, loving life in Cornwall and visiting downunder whenever we can. We’re experienced holiday home owners, so aim to be great hosts, as well as considerate guests when staying in others’ homes .

Kevin spent a lot of his childhood and youth on holiday from Canberra in Bawley and the South Coast area, plus we have some very good friends who have a place there that we've often stayed with.

It was whilst staying with them during our honeymoon that we decided we needed to keep some Aussie roots and thought - what better place than Bawley!

The same friends found The Good Life for us after we left and we bought the house unseen! We've never looked back, but only wish that time and money would allow us to visit more often. Definitely we hope to retire there when the time comes.

The house is a perfect getaway for couples or families and because it's our second home, we continually make improvements to make sure it has all the home comforts necessary to provide the perfect holiday experience.

The downstairs area for the kids works really well, yet the upstairs is doubled in size by the front and back decks so that there is always a quiet space for everyone to find.

We also have a desk area downstairs in case you want to extend your holiday and work remotely. We have the maximum NBN Internet plan we can get for this area, with approximate speeds of 50 mbps download, 17 mbps upload.

As the house is in a cul-de-sac, there is hardly any traffic and our visitors' kids often hang out on their bikes or kick a footie on the road or in the nature reserve opposite.

On the subject of nature, during our recent stay at the house in March 2018, we saw dolphins, penguins and stingrays in the water; and had kangaroos quietly eating grass in front of the house - disturbed only by the cookaburras laughing at them!

We have a resident brown owl that sits in the palm tree on the side of the house and we could just sit for hours on the front deck watching the many birds and generally enjoying the serenity.

One of our grown-up nephews calls it the 'Bawley Valium' that hits you soon after you arrive. Amazing really that he still feels that effect when he has two young sons!

We all sleep better at Bawley and each time we go it is harder and harder to leave.
