Great place and location. Short walk to beautiful beach, then back to the house up the hill a little to watch the dolphins whales and boats. Beach and house pet friendly so we could all go as a family. Heaps of shops and clubs local, fish coop standout. In short perfect holiday for us.

Amazing views and dog friendly!

Lovely beach house with amazing views and easy walking to the local dog friendly beach and cafe. We enjoyed our relaxed weekend which included whale watching and would definately return again!

Amazing view. The house had everything we needed for a few nights away. Perfect for dogs. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Beautiful beach shack

We enjoyed our stay very much! The property has been well maintained & thoughtfully decorated so that it is comfortable and feels like a well loved beach house! The bedrooms are a good size and both enjoy the same amazing view!The large deck is great for outdoor dining with sea views & it is only a short walk to one Mile Beach.

Great place, great hosts

They’ve worked out what’s important with out the frills and a good location. Kudos for having extra everything like crockery and cutlery to make it feel homely and not stingey. Would have like option for linen service though.

Stunning views!

We stayed at the Kickback Beach Shack for the 4th time for a week between Christmas and New Year and had the most wonderful holiday. The stunning views are incredible and the house suited us so well, 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 cavoodles just loved it. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic house - spectacular views

Perfect holiday house - amazing views. We loved everything from waking up watching spectacular sunrises from the warmth of our cozy beds to sitting on the deck with a G&T watching the dolphins frolic in the waves as the sun set! One mile beach is lovely too - some spectacular snorkeling at the south end - soooo many fish!

Paradise all year round!

We had our second stay at this glorious property, 6 days of perfect weather with our two dogs in July. Watching the incredible sunrises from the verandah, seeing whales and dolphins frolicking in the ocean each day. We stayed in summer and now in winter, the home is perfect all year round & we will definitely be back!

Great holiday home

The Kick Back Beach Shack is an awesome holiday home just a short walk from beautiful beaches. The views are gorgeous and the home comfortable and welcoming. The yard was secure and safe for the dog and we really appreciated the provision of bowls and a comfy trampoline doggy bed. Pet friendly and pet safe holiday options like this one are invaluable. The beds were cosy and the facilities were terrific. Would love to come and stay again sometime soon. Wonderful!

A total gem on One Mile Beach

This is possibly the best place on One Mile. We’ve been back twice now and will be staying again. Rachel is a fantastic host and truly cares about your stay. Kitchen is well stocked in kitchen ware, tops little BBQ (we didn’t manage to use this time) and all things to make it feelLike home. We stayed on top of our laundry! Gorgeous view, the birds are hilarious to watch, and the dolphins come in daily. Great spot and will be back! THANK YOU!!

Fabulous!

We loved the home, layout, cleanliness, location, views, how dog friendly it was! Fences are great, the dogs cannot escape and quiet neighbours meant they had a peaceful time. A perfect hub to explore from. Very comfortable and quiet at night. Kids had a blast on the sand dunes and beach we could walk to. Saw dolphins swimming every morning from the window. Watched the sunrise over the water. Perfect!

We Didn’t Want to Leave!

Our family of 4, plus 2 cavoodles, had the most wonderful 5-night stay. The photos don’t do this property justice. The house is perfect, so clean and it has everything you could need. The ocean views are incredible and we loved watching the sun rise and set, listening to the sound of the ocean and the birds. I cannot recommend this property more highly. We have been holidaying in Forster for almost 20 years and this is our best rental yet. We will definitely be back!

We will be back!!

Wow we loved our Easter stay. The view, the location, and everything about the house was just perfect. We really liked the fact it was out of the main centre of Forster. Kitchen facilities were great and really well supplied. It was clean and the beds weee really comfortable. We spent a lot of time on the big lounge reading, watching the view and catching up on our latest shows. The beach was beautiful and our dog loved the morning and afternoon walks. We will definitely be back to One Mile beach and if we are lucky to get into Kick Back shack again, we couldn’t be happier.

Another Week in Paradise!

Thank you for another wonderful stay in your perfect spot overlooking One Mile Beach. We have stayed at the house in both summer and winter and will keep coming back. The view is exquisite, the sound of the ocean in every room is so relaxing. We love bringing our two cavoodles to stay and joining the local, friendly community on morning and afternoon dog walks along the beach, the many wonderful restaurants and far too many gelatos as we watched dolphins frolicking in the water at the end of dinner each night. We feel refreshed, rejuvenated and ready for our busy Sydney life after our stay at this oasis! 10/10!

Absolutely fabulous

Excellent location with an amazing view. Beautifully looked after property in a quite part of Forster. Convenient to One Mile Beach for walks and swimming. Rachael, the host, was helpful and wonderful to deal with. We hope to visit again one day.
