Great location, great fun fishing, the house had everything you needed for a fantastic and relaxing holiday. Would definitely book again.

What a great place to stay

We decided on a winter holiday this year and booked Connemara Cottage for 10 days. We were pleasently supprised when we arrived at how close we were to the sea. The house is well set up to accomodate 8 people and ideal for a family with children. It has a safe swimming beach for the young ones. It is Pet friendly with a nice roomy area for your pets which is under cover in the lovely BBQ area. This area has ample storage in two fridges for your drinks and fish catch. The house has a new clothes washer and dryer. The sleeping arrangments are 3 bedrooms two with Queen size beds and 2 singles in the other. John the owner was very helpful with our booking and directions to get there. The bird life is fantastic and when we arrived there were Kangaroos grazing on the front lawns. So all in all a great place to stay and well priced, we will go again. Tip. We went online with Google Maps and walked the roads which made it a lot easyer to get to.

Lovely cottage with a spectacular view

Connemara Cottage was a great way to start our holiday. The accommodation was exactly as expected, and the bird watching was a extra bonus. Our kids loved exploring the coastline despite some jellyfish and the rocky beachline. Farm Beach was very close and also didn't disappoint. I was marvellous for exploring and we even sore some starfish! We would definitely stay here again.

Typical South Aussie shack experience you shouldn’t miss.

Roomy and comfortable, plenty of beaches nearby and Coffin Bay 15 minutes away. Will definitely come back.

Not like it sounds

Spent the first hour on arrival cleaning the property, trying to find clean cutlery and washing enough for us to use . The bedrooms had loads of spiders webs and dead flies in the windows, torn net curtains, clothes hanging rails were falling apart and draws full of old toys, rubbish etc. The kitchen needs a total clear out and new accessories bought, cupboards emptying of old out of date spices, food, empty bottles and cans. Outside the blue table and chairs in the photo (think the photos are old as there are a few changes) is a death trap, we could not touch it as it’s falling to bits, the fence is falling down at the side and the plants overgrown (they hit the window all night in the wind). The undercover needs work and some of the fridges throwing out. Somethings were tested and tagged but were years out of date On a plus laundry was good and a newish tidy bathroom. Kangaroos on the lawn and a bird watchers dream. Having rented holiday houses for over 20 years this was the worst I have stayed at, the property has potential but needs a cleaning/ maintenance company in it for a few days

Great spot for kids and family fun

Awesome time fishing and nature watching, great base for exploring the area. Cozy and well kitted out, a great place to stay.

Great base for a fishing trip

Great location on the waterfront with enough room for a boat at the back. Enclosed outdoor area great for drying and for barbecue in wet weather. Easy access to Farm Beach and Mount Dutton Bay boat ramp, each a short drive.

Connemara Cottage

We enjoyed our Christmas 2019 at Dutton Bay. The cottage is equipped with plenty of everything, the beds are comfy and the we loved watching the Cape Barren geese fly in 'squadrons' to the island every evening. Jenny Vine
