Riders Rest

Whether you're riding the snow or mountain bike tracks, horses or golf carts, Riders Rest offers modern, comfortable living spaces to provide the backdrop to the day’s activities. Whilst you enjoy the afterglow, the kids can play outside on the flat section complete with Spring Free trampoline.
Clever design and excellent indoor/outdoor flow allows the classic Wanaka mountain scape (Roy’s Peak, Treble Cone and Black Peak) to be enjoyed from all living spaces including kitchen, lounge and deck.
Perfectly situated, Rider's Rest is opposite Sticky Forest, a short stroll from the lakefront at Eely Point and a bike ride or short drive to town.

Great house! Photos are accurate - lovely view of the mountains, 2 good bathrooms plus a separate toilet and basin. Beds really comfortable. Really clean with nice linen and towels. Well equipped kitchen. Spacious lounge. Friendly helpful hosts.Nice and close to Sticky Forest mountain bike and hiking trails. Highly recommend.

The house had all the basics and we enjoyed the view of the snow-covered mountains. Location was great to visit Queenstown and the surrounding area. Unfortunately the garage door opener didn’t work.

Large comfortable space for 2 couples, clean. Nice bathrooms, large windows, good outdoor seating but was too chilly to use. Close to town and the hike we had planned.

Really great stay. Be aware that the master bedroom has a large window right over the bed that doesn’t have any kind of cover (no blind, etc). This means that light fills the room. Otherwise was comfortable and instructions were clear. Great mountain views!

We had the loveliest stay at Riders Rest. The house was equipped with everything to make our stay comfortable and the space was wonderful for a family with 3 kids. They loved the trampoline. I would highly recommend this option.

Lovely house in a great position. Views were terrific. Very comfortable and added extras like trampoline and ping pong table for the kids were very helpful.

Nice big house, great bathroom rooms, kitchen facilities. TV too small for that large room. Couldnt park car in garage due to washing machine and dryer taking up room in garage. Should be noted in house description the house is in a housing estate. Not much privacy in the outdoor deck area.

Great place to stay. Very spacious. Perfect for drying ski gear. Lovely and warm. Had great weather for skiing every day meaning we were hardly at the house so didn’t get to take advantage of the table tennis etc, but would be an excellent addition if we’d had a day off.

Riders Rest was the perfect place to stay for our skiing holiday with our family including two young grandchildren. It is a nice and spacious place with the most beautiful mountain views from the living areas. The kitchen had all the comforts of home and the two modern bathrooms have a separate toilet, heated towel rails and floor heating that made our winter stay even more enjoyable. Riders Rest can surely provide the perfect stay in any season.

Home away from home

Riders Rest was a great home away from home and we would definitely stay again. So relaxing and cosy after a day at the lake kayaking.We had everything we needed. Thanks for a great holiday home.

Our favorite pace we stayed in New Zealand!

Our family just wrapped up a 2 week stay in the beautiful country of New Zealand. This property was our favorite- it was clean, spacious, decked out with all sorts of nice amenities. Our entire crew would highly recommend this place while staying in Wanaka!

Excellent Stay!

We stayed 4-nights at this very lovely home in Wanaka. The home is new and clean, the floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding doors provided for lovely views of the mountains. The home we well appointed and met all of our needs as we cooked many meals in the kitchen - it had everything we needed. Great location too. Many thanks for a wonderful stay!

Great place

Thanks so much for a great 3 night stay. Three did the Motatpu and it was great to relax and enjoy the deck and sun and also the large lounge. We will be back next year. Had fun playing table tennis and appreciated the salt and pepper and other things you need to buy. Clean and very comfortable. Many thanks.

Comfortable Place in Beautiful Wānaka

Ken’s place was perfect for our stay - clean & well-stocked kitchen, modern bathrooms, comfortable beds, cozy backyard and convenient driveway parking. The location was great, as well - close enough to the main area of town but still quiet and peaceful. Check in was seamless and being able to laundry in the middle of our two week holiday was very helpful. We would definitely stay again.
