We are so happy you two were able to get away and make so many happy memories together here at our favorite getaway. Glad you enjoyed the wine and treats we left for you. We are glad you enjoyed our home and all it has to offer! It's an amazing place for those it is intended for, a family of up to 5 or a married couple vacation. It is not for throwing parties and drunken disruption of this laid back, fun community as you were doing. You were reminded of this and asked kindly to respect our home and property, but you declined. Thus breaking the rental agreement, so your time with us came to an early end. We have many amazing repeat guest who love it here and we are always kind and repectful of them, we only ask the same. As such, we do wish you safe travels back to the East Coast, Godspeed.

Oh what a tangled web we weave, When first we practise to deceive! ~Sir Walter Scott. It's really a sad thing when people set out to deceive and attempt to harm others, as is the case with their reservation and this review. When the guest made the reservation she asked for a short 2 day stay, verifying only her and her husband would be coming for a romantic weekend and then asked for special circumstances be made to accommodate their small infant. Turned out, she had no intent to be honest and forthright during the reservation conversation for her true intent was to Party. Per our neighbors report, Her "many" visitors began to arrive early morning day two, bringing their bags and additional clothing with them. Saying, they were in and out of the house all day, smoking drinking and disturbing the peace, and infringing on the neighbors property. By late evening they had brought in their luggage and set a bonfire 🔥 and it was clear they had no intent to leave. Neighbors reported the police would be called if this matter was not taken care of. Owners verified the report and then directed management to have the party shut down. At that point they could have had the guest and their baby also vacate without refund, but again owners showed mercy. The guest review failed to mention for their couple only stay, how the owners bent over backwards providing specialty wine, dessert, towel swans, a romantic jacuzzi setting, bottled water, teas and even popcorn for movie night. This in addition to many other special touches with no additional charge being added. Our thermostat, it is a smart thermostat with comfortable pre-settings. Which is assessible to the guest and the husband verified on day one was perfect. The trash and cigarettes' debris was excessive due to their party and excessive cleaning was required. The trash convenience center directions are provided and they set their own days and hours. The lake levels are TVA and Mother Nature controlled. At the time of your reservation inquiry please ask where the level is and we will be glad to tell you. Our listing does reflect more information about this. VRBO community values are based on trust and respect. For these reasons, the guest had full knowledge that ALL visitors and guest must be fully disclosed. A written rental agreement contract is provided prior to making payment. She was provided a copy of our rules before signing them (the PDF is located on the reservation site, just click on it to open and read). Every homeowner sets rules for how they expect their property to be used and treated while rented, hotels and vacation cabins included. Our home is no different. As she herself stated, if this very young and inexperienced lady had just read and respected them without intentionally deceiving the owners and disrespecting their property she would have had an amazing time here and her and her husband really could of had that special romantic weekend. 💑 Godspeed to her.

Yes that's just one of the best things people say about this home, it's central location. It's just off a two lane road that runs right along side the lake. When outside on the decks you can hear cars passing headed to the lake restaurants, sightseeing or such, but when inside during the day it's very quite. At night it's even more laid back, but just in case we have fans and sleep music available. Thanks for staying with us, we enjoyed meeting you and were so glad we could help.
