Casa Whitley is everything you could ask for in a vacation home in Playacar. The home is managed expertly so that, should something arise, it will be addressed quickly. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils. The home has a water dispenser so you do not need to buy bottled water for your stay. We recommend you hire the chef for a home-cooked dinner. The landscaping around the pool is magnificent and we spent a lot of time in and around the pool and on the lanai. There is a game cabinet for family games. Our three generation family had a wonderful time.

Amazing retreat!

I spent the week at Casa Whitley with my best friends celebrating my 40th birthday. The house is beautifully decorated and was perfect for us! Great neighborhood, easy access to beach and Playa. The concierge and chef services were brilliant. Huge recommendation from me as well as my friends. Will be back!

Family Trip to Playa Del Carmen

This was our second stay at Casa Whitley and it was fantastic! The house was perfect for our family of 9. We enjoyed the beautiful backyard space with the patio and pool. The large open living space indoors was great for spending time together. Downtown Playa and the beach are just a short walk from the house. We had Blanca prepare a meal for us one night which was amazing, and the property concierge Roger was so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Made for another memorable visit to Playa!

Perfect House with Wonderful Staff!

My friends and I recently stayed at Casa Whitely for 5 days for a bachelorette party. The house slept 10 very comfortably. All rooms and bathrooms were very clean and spacious, easily accommodating everyone. The pool and backyard are absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. The pictures don’t do it justice! We spent a lot of time lounging outside because we never wanted to leave. Roger and Ivan were very attentive and made our stay even more special because we could truly relax and not have to worry about running out to the grocery store. The chef and kitchen assistant made us DELICIOUS food. We had 1 lunch and 2 dinners and had lots of leftovers for us to eat the next day. It was such a treat because we could spend even more time enjoying the sunshine and no one had to break away from the group to run errands. Everything was reasonably priced and the convenience was so worth it. There was some construction happening next door and it was a bit loud in the morning, but Carol generously gave an $100 credit for chef services as a courtesy. Carol was super responsive and the entire booking process was painless. The community is very safe and walkable. I would definitely recommend staying here for any group wanting to relax and enjoy Mexico!

Dusty and needs deep cleaning

It appears that this property is not used often as it's in serious need of a deep cleaning and overall maintenance upkeep. The structure and layout of the property is nice but it was overall dirty and I would't stay again. Let me list all the issues: -No hot water for three days -Dust all over house -Dirty linens and couch cushions -Pool not cleaned daily -Water did not drain properly in several bathrooms to the point where water was up to my ankles when I showered. -Broken toilet seat -Broken lamp -Central air vent leaking from ceiling -One bathroom flooded We were excited about staying here because the pictures looked great but it was too dirty for our standards. Everyday we had maintenance people coming by to fix the problems but this was irritating as some of us were still sleeping or trying to prepare for the day. The positives: Ivan the on-site concierge was outstanding! He arranged our tours to local beaches and Tulum. The dinner he arranged our first night at the house was delicious! He gave us fantastic recommendations and even stopped by with delicious pastries from a local bakery. He truly went above and beyond. If I ever visit Playa Del Carmen again I would surely contact him to set up activities but would not stay at this property again. Overall this property needs to be cleaned thoroughly and renovated in my opinion; new paint, fixtures, retiling.

Patrice, I’m very sorry that you felt Casa Whitley did not meet your standards for cleanliness. We strive to provide a luxury experience for our renters with five-star service. We are proud of our vacation home amenities which include complimentary welcome package, concierge service for the entire stay, and maid service every day but Sunday. As you so aptly stated, our concierges are wonderful and along with daily service, they provide a review of the property before arrival when bringing the welcome package. Our talented concierge and management staff addressed your concerns on site, including going the extra mile to provide you with a personal safe per your request. Your concerns about the hot water were immediately addressed with an increase of temperature on the water heater. The broken toilet seat was immediately replaced and the light fixture scheduled for repair. Pool service is scheduled three times per week, and unfortunately you had some windy and rainy weather during your stay which contributed to leaves in the pool, and perhaps some dust blowing into the house through the wall of glass doors. After your review, we called a meeting of our property manager, concierge, maintenance and housekeeping staff to review your complaints as quality and service are our top priorities. We do hope you will give us another chance to experience our home and amenities, and hopefully a full week of Mexican sun.

Three letters...... W O W!!!

Where to begin?! Casa Whitley exceeded our expectations. We were a group of 10 girls on a girls trip (bachelorette party). Half of us were able to arrive early and, with the help of concierge, our transportation was graciously awaiting us at the airport. As soon as we pulled into Playacar Phase II (the community) we were "ooohhingh and aahhhhing"! From the vibrant landscaping, to the amenities, and native wildlife...Casa Whitley felt immediately like home. We set up decorations to welcome the other group and the bride-to-be. Needless to say, when she arrived, our guest of honor was beaming with excitement and surprise! We spent the first day just relaxing by the private pool, ordering pizza delivery, and unwinding after our flight. The beach was within walking distance and between that, shopping, and grazing on delicious food we thoroughly enjoyed all Playa del Carmen had to offer. Monica and her husband Chema were lovely, polite, and the of utmost help. She was able to arrange us extra transportation for our big night out on the town. Blanca served us the most exquisite traditional Mexican Breakfast on the day of our departure which included Migas with freshly made salsa, eggs with queso, yogurt, granola, fresh fruit, milk, and freshly squeezed orange juice..."QUE RICA!" She was the sweetest and cutest ever throughout her morning with us. The owner, Carol, was able to walk us through every step of the process and made the trip for our large group go off without a hitch. I cannot express enough how much fun we had, how safe and comfortable we all felt, and how enjoyable our stay was at Casa Whitley...but don't take my word for it. Paradise

I stayed here with five friends for a long weekend. The photos do not do this property justice. The most amazing part of this property are Carol, Roger, Julianana and the amazing folks who prepared food for us and just in general took care of us. I can’t express my gratitude sufficiently! It was the most beautiful, relaxing, fun, delicious stay! I definitely recommend you coordinate in-home meals when you stay as it was the best food we had in Playa del Carmen. My friends and I wondered how this property was even available. Thank you again!

We loved our stay at Casa Whitley!

Casa Whitley was a great fit for our family vacation to Playa Del Carmen. The location is excellent, a short walk to the beach and to downtown for dining and shopping. The house was clean and comfortable, plenty of bathrooms and space for the 8 of us. The pool was fantastic and the concierge services provided were outstanding. We would definitely stay again!

Paradise

Carol, Roger and the casa Whitley team made our weekend at their property one for the books. From check-in to the end of the trip, every last detail was taken care of. The backyard was even better than expected - absolutely stunning. We took advantage of the breakfast every morning + dinner which I’d highly recommend. Both the chef and cleaners were awesome. 5/5 would stay again

This is our family's second holiday at Casa Whitley- Amazing , Amazing , Amazing !!! Without a doubt every detail; from the point of making contact with Carol ,the property owner to our departure to the airport is a seamless easy process. Traveling with a family of 9 and every imaginable need is taken care of for everyone ! Carol is meticulous, highly communicative , and her home is both stunning and relaxing. You're not more than a 10 minute walk to the beach, town , or a taxi...so easy. If you want an extraordinary holiday with every thing at your convenience and the beauty of a warm and design-friendly home this is the real deal. Wonderful Home Away from Home

My friends and I stayed at Casa Whitley while visiting Playa del Carmen in celebration of our 30th birthdays. We had a wonderful time! The home was clean and well maintained. The kitchen and common areas were spacious, and allowed all of us to enjoy each other comfortably, and the bedrooms were spacious and numerous enough to allow solitude when desired. Carol, the owner, was helpful during every step of the process from making the reservation, to our arrival, to check-out and returning our refund. She and Maria, her concierge, provided several recommendations concerning dining, activities, and even the best spots on the beach. Yet I must say, as far as the excursions and airport transport, I found that we were able to save money by arranging them on our own. The house is about a 10-15 min walk from the beach. Most times though we caught a cab as it was crazy hot to get into town (cabs were $9 USD). 5th Avenue had lots of shopping and dining, and most were reasonably priced. Overall, we had a fabulous time. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer! I would highly recommended Casa Whitley to others.
