Great stay minus the air hockey game

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Property was just as it was described minus the damage to the air hockey table. The table had a hold in the table close to one end goal area. The hole caused an escape of air that made the game next to impossible to play. This was the only game in the unit, and one of the deciding factors in selecting this unit. The damage should have been disclosed to me before I rented the unit. Had I known the damage, I would have chosen a different unit. For this reason, the management company gets a very low rating for their lack of oversight and reporting to people renting the unit. The rest of the unit was fine. Hot tub worked well, bedrooms were comfortable, and kitchen was well stocked.

The house was good but it needs a card table & chairs to accommodate more people to eat at a table. Also, we could not find trash bags big enough for the trash can in the kitchen. The porch light went out on 2nd evening & being that it gets dark at 5 pm, that wasn't good. Could not find a replacement bulb. Overall the accommodations were good & would recommend to others.

The house was lovely and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the fireplace. We did experience an alarm issue, but the owner was very responsive and generously refunded us for the inconvenience. I would definitely recommend this house to friends.

This house was ok. Ample parking. There were seven of us. Nice size rooms. The king bed should be replaced instead of piling on foam pads. Very uncomfortable. Should be moved over also. I had to shuffle sideways to get in and out of bed and there was a lot of that going on due to being uncomfortable. Upstairs and downstairs beds were fine. The dresser was not usable in the master bedroom. Wonky and loose. The side window opens but slams shut as soon as you let go. Scared the daylights out of me. There should be directions on how to get the shower to work. I have never seen one like that and it took a while to figure it out. I would tell you how it works but that would be no fun for the next group! The hot tub was very nice and the screened in porch had plenty of nice chairs and a nice size table. Not crazy about it being glass, but it worked. The kitchen was well equipped for the three nights we stayed. As far as cleanliness I think there are areas that could use a bit more cleaning. Stains on the bedroom carpet as soon as I walked in. And Bring your own dish towels and bath towels. Just sayin. Overall it was a fine house for a weekend.

Too hot to handle

We all arrived Sunday late afternoon! It was our first visit but all the directions were well marked. We all were able to have space and yet enjoy common space. The air hockey table was a huge extra for our 8 year old . The owners club was a real positive. We did an arts and craft with our 5 year old. The adults enjoyed the pool and game room. Also pups enjoyed the 3 season room and their walks. We left on Wednesday.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. We enjoyed the hot tub, deck, and screened porch, but the weather was too hot for us to try the firepit. Maybe if we come back in the fall.

Comfortable and Relaxing

We stayed 3 nights, very comfortable and peaceful. All the amenities we needed. Close to Galena. Lots of opportunities re: Owners club,horseback riding and many more!

Nice house. Everything you need for your stay. Close to town. This is a dog friendly house, so I brought my Golden Retriever. There is a private home next door, with an invisible fence for their dog. Beware tho, that dog knows how to get past it. The dog came onto the property, I was staying at and nipped my dog. This happened twice. My dog was on a leash. I did contact the host about this.

Our Galena Getaway

Our family was celebrating my nieces 30th birthday and spending time with my nephew’s new baby. I can’t say enough about what a wonderful time we all had!The house was perfect,it accommodated everyone perfectly and there was so much space to be away from each other if needed. We used everything, from the hot tub, fire pit and the poker table! The screened in porch was like sitting in a tree house! We wished we could stay longer because we didn’t want to leave such a wonderful place!We definitely would rent again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at the Wooded Retreat was wonderful. The house was clean and tidy. There was more than enough room for just two of us. The hot tub worked great and was a highlight of our stay. The living room furniture was very comfortable and cozy. We also enjoyed relaxing on the screened in porch. There were plenty of dishes, pots and pans. Be sure to bring foil, ziplocs, and/or Saran Wrap for storing leftover food. The house was located in a quiet area and is very close to walking paths and the waterfall. Our contact was easy to get ahold of. We really had a great time in Galena Territory!
