Toms Holiday House, Point Lookout Straddie sleeps 10 ducted air-con 2 bathrooms.

Easy walking distance to several (including 8 minutes to patrolled) beaches, restraurants (including Straddie Hotel), shops and takeaways. The Gorge Walk is well worth the extra time taken.

Fully self-contained, 2 level brick house has a 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, (Separate / Self contained Granny Flat included), ducted air conditioning upstairs, laundry, kitchen, dining and lounge (55" smart TV upstairs, plus downstairs rumpus room and Granny Flat each with 40" smart DTV .

The property is pet friendly (with easy conditions) and the front yard is fenced. The rear of the house is fully concreted with a 1m retaining wall and has access to an enclosed, covered garage/ activity area.

The front yard is set back from the street, secluded by thick foliage, with a wood fired BBQ and separate Brazier with seating.

Please note that due to the size of the house, linen (bed sheets, pillow covers & 2 towels per room) is NOT provided unless specifically requested when booking (or requested by notice 2 weeks prior to move in time) for rooms required. This is an optional extra cost. Please review the attached agreement for prices. Freshly cleaned mattress protectors, pillow protectors, blankets and kitchen dish wash / hand towels are provided.

Upstair's rooms were clean and were well stocked with necessities.Upstairs was very good. Granny flat downstairs was not as well presented. Granny flat's outside area was unclean and so, not utilised which was a shame. Downstair's cooking pots and pans need updating so we tended to bring down some from upstairs and use those.

Perfect location quiet and private. The house had everything we needed. Tom and Pauline were great communicators and very accomodating. The home was comfortable and had games firewood and breezy verandahs.We had a fantastic stay!

Lovely homey property, perfect for two families with kids. Really well equipped, easy walk to Point Lookout cafes and beaches.

Well appointed. Yard could do with a tidy up but good for pet dog. Disappointed unable to get ABC TV, but possibly a transmission /reception problem. Overall quite satisfactory.

Fantastic location and perfect for families

This is the second time we, two families of four with two adults and two children around 6 and 8 years, have stayed at Tom's place. The location is excellent, close to everything, walking distance to cafes, beaches, playground and boardwalk. The house is spacious and well equipped (we could not find the coffee machine though so if that is important to you perhaps check with the owners before you arrive). The beds are comfortable. There is so much space for the kids to play at the front and the back, upstairs and downstairs. Unfortunately when arrived the placed hadn't been cleaned as the cleaner was sick and there was a bit of mix up but the owner Tom made a special visit to the island to clean the house for us and he gave us access to the laundry to get our linen. The other two times we have stayed the house was immaculately presented upon arrival. We were financially retributed for the inconvenience caused. We all love this place and will definitely stay there any chance we get.

Great for our needs

Well-equipped house, easy to enjoy all that Straddie has to offer. Excellent when it comes to owners. We were not impressed by how Stayz online listing is missing several key points of information that were only included in an emailed document titled RentalAgreement. Other rental agencies we used in past on Straddie match what is written online and what is in their rental agreement, thus preventing misunderstandings and possible visitor disappointment if you happen not to notice the attached document.

Walking distance to everything!

Just spent a week at Tom’s with four kids and the house had a great set up with plenty of rooms, self contained granny flat downstairs and the bonus of having ducted air con. House was very clean and all beds comfortable. Easy walk to beach and grocery store and plenty of kangaroos to see! Good time enjoyed by all.

Feels like home

We have stayed here several times now & have always taken the kids, some of who are now adults. With so many rooms & living areas it is easy to spread out yet be together. We take my mother in law as well as she enjoys the sea change & time on the deck reading her paper whilst sipping on he coffee & listening to al abundance of bird life.

The perfect place!

This is the second time we have stayed at this house and we all love it. Two families each with two children and a dog fit perfectly and it’s a great place to spend time when we’re not out exploring the island. Last time we forgot to order linen and the owners were absolutely amazing in helping us organize this. We hope to return again next year.

Great spot

We had a fabulous Easter stay at Tom's House. We had 2 families staying, plenty of room for everyone and we utilized both the front and back decks. A really well equipped house - plenty of cutlery, crockery, glassware etc, plus nice touches like hand soap, washing up liquid, salt and pepper provided. Easy to walk to Cylinder Beach, the Pub, the Gorge Walk & Main Beach, as well as just up the road from the Foodworks - very convenient. We had a great stay!!

Birthday week at Tom’s beach house

We greatly appreciated being able to have our dogs with us at this property. The house is well equipped however some attention needed with the hot water heater. The fuse kept tripping so water was cold.

Lovely stay

Thanks for having us Tom, we had a lovely stay at point lookout. Well catered for us with the baby and both sets of grant parents and our dog. All though the dog got out the first night at the back so you might have to consider fencing the back in better if you allow bigger dogs on the property.

A most relaxing stay

Tom’s house is in a fabulous location walking distance to many beaches, cafes and local shops. It had everything we need with space for everyone. It has a good functional kitchen with all the equipment you could need on vacation. Gas bbq was very handy - plus a firepit was enjoyed also. The koala visits in the front trees and wandering kangaroos was an extra treat!

Perfect for families

We loved our stay, perfect for families, lots of room and the added bonus of a fence yard which is great for little ones. Great location, has everything you need and the ducted aircon is also great.
