We could not have chosen a better place for our recent Streaky Bay Holiday. The Captains Apartment 5 would have to be the best holiday place in Streaky Bay.
It is unbelievably close to all amenities, being directly under a supermarket, bottle shop, electrical store and hairdresser is most certainly convenient, and the kids loved walking up the stairs and picking up a few things from the shop without supervision.
The Apartment itself was huge, very spacious and gave our family of 7 the space we needed plus more. The rooms are all very large, modern, and well furnished. It was like we were staying in a modern beach house. Two toilets was an extra bonus, as was the large bathroom with large shower and separate bath.
We were unsure of what amenities to pack, but on arrival we found the pantry with key essentials such as cooking oil, paper towel, baking goods etc, plus ample toilet paper, toiletries, dishwashing liquid and even coffee pods for the coffee machine!!
Great dishwasher and washing machine, beds are all comfy and we found our stay to be relatively quiet, despite being on the Main Street.
We arrived on a 43 degree day, and while these temperatures continued during the week, we did not feel the heat at all within the Captains Apartment. Being somewhat underground, plus the sea being only metres from the front door made our stay very cool and comfortable. We were able to spend most of our time sitting outside on the very large veranda and looking at the breathtaking views of the jetty and the sea.
There is nothing we could fault with our stay. Paul Beck was very welcoming and friendly, and made our stay the most enjoyable holiday we have had with our 5 children. We canât wait to come back!
