Amazing location! Apartment was just as described, the owner was very helpful and accommodating. Only negative would be parking as this only allows for one car, however owner made it work for us! Would recommend!

Great for families

Modern and very spacious rooms and living area in the Captains apartment (apartment 6). Fantastic view of the bay. Walking distance to shops and eateries, being just off the main street, but not noisy as apartment is below street level. Great communication from the owners re checkin and parking prior to arrival and very responsive to questions. Highly recommended, would stay there again.

I stayed in the Captains apartment which was very spacious. I had a family of five with three boys aged 10 & 9. This location is a little hidden gem, the kids could literally throw a stone from the patio. the apartment had everything, BBQ, Weber Q, Deep Freezer for those of you who want to fish. We had so much to do, the beaches are beautiful. There were rock pools to explore, whistling rocks with blow holes (at high tide) . The evenings were stunning and relaxing, the kids played by the water until 9pm, we daily and nightly walked the jetty, watched the sun set and just sat watching the water. The apartment had a large dining area with 6 seats, we didnt use it once, as every meal was spent on the outdoor setting looking at the beachside and jetty.

The Captains Apartment has breathtaking views, modern facilities and ample space

We could not have chosen a better place for our recent Streaky Bay Holiday. The Captains Apartment 5 would have to be the best holiday place in Streaky Bay. It is unbelievably close to all amenities, being directly under a supermarket, bottle shop, electrical store and hairdresser is most certainly convenient, and the kids loved walking up the stairs and picking up a few things from the shop without supervision. The Apartment itself was huge, very spacious and gave our family of 7 the space we needed plus more. The rooms are all very large, modern, and well furnished. It was like we were staying in a modern beach house. Two toilets was an extra bonus, as was the large bathroom with large shower and separate bath. We were unsure of what amenities to pack, but on arrival we found the pantry with key essentials such as cooking oil, paper towel, baking goods etc, plus ample toilet paper, toiletries, dishwashing liquid and even coffee pods for the coffee machine!! Great dishwasher and washing machine, beds are all comfy and we found our stay to be relatively quiet, despite being on the Main Street. We arrived on a 43 degree day, and while these temperatures continued during the week, we did not feel the heat at all within the Captains Apartment. Being somewhat underground, plus the sea being only metres from the front door made our stay very cool and comfortable. We were able to spend most of our time sitting outside on the very large veranda and looking at the breathtaking views of the jetty and the sea. There is nothing we could fault with our stay. Paul Beck was very welcoming and friendly, and made our stay the most enjoyable holiday we have had with our 5 children. We can’t wait to come back!

Our stay in apartment 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay in apartment 5! The apartment matched its description, however is probably nicer in the flesh. It is extremely spacious, clean and its location is spectacular, with a beautiful view over the bay- virtually a stone throw from waters edge. The apartments are right in the town centre, providing convenience to shops etc. however feel quiet/private in their location. The booking process was easy and matched with exceptional communication from the property manager/owner, adding to the experience. This high quality of care was shown throughout our stay. Overall the accommodation (and experience) was difficult to fault and would definitely be recommended. We had a wonderful time.

The apartment had a relaxing atmosphere with a fantastic view overlooking the ocean and jetty. Our family found the apartment modern, clean and spacious. We used the BBQ often and enjoyed meals outside. It is close to shops but still private and its kitchen and laundry were very handy for a family holiday. The children enjoyed watching dolphins swim past. Would stay there again!

Since then it has evolved into Apartments, Mitre 10 , IGA, and a Sip n Save Wine Cellar
Currently the business is run by Ian, Helen, and Paul with capable staff members
In recent years we have renovated 3 beach front apartments to an excellent standard with another 3-4 to be totally rebuilt asap
