Family Trip to Disney

I was very pleased with this property overall. We did have a few issues but they were addressed immediately. Communication was excellent. I would definitely rent again. Super close and convenient to the parks and stores. Lots of space for a large group or family. We really enjoyed our time at this house.

Nice are and location wouldn’t recommend this house

We checked in everything was ready on time. The house definitely showed ware and tear, sliding glass door by pool didn’t work, game room seats were almost impossible to get them to recline some were impossible, some things in game room didn’t work, pool seemed not to be working at all (the skimmer) because was so full of dirt and debris it wasn’t working at all kept calling management and they finally came on day 3 so didnt use the pool for 2 full days although they promised us on 1st day someone would come to check but no one did then promised by latest will be there next day still no one came then promised first thing on day 3 someone will come but that did not either happen. Shower in master bedroom had many hairs from previous people upon arrival and house was not cleaned well. Wifi was not reliable. Air conditioner did not work well. They allow you to keep it lowest 72 which was comfortable but there were many times (during the evening when doors and windows were closed and no oven was on) but would not rise higher than 74 which was too warm for us at night. Kitchen sink faucet was very shaky. Ice machine in refrigerator didn’t work. House was large and roomy, pool was nice size and when was working we enjoyed it. All bathrooms came with a small shampoo, body wash and conditioner. Pool table was alot of fun but the pockets kept on popping out of the socket, fooseball table didn’t work well. Other homes we stayed at in Solara were all great.

Incredibly simple!

The check-in process was incredibly simple and all of our special requests were taken care of. The location is close to parks and the city center.. Even though the neighborhood itself isn't particularly exciting, our stay here was outstanding! We would definitely come back again!

Great Stay!

I had an excellent stay here - we were provided with a great selection of complimentary breakfast every day, had access to a gym & pool, the weather was superb & all the activities we wanted to do were within walking distance (3 miles) from our place.

Not enough kitchen cooking pans kitchen not stocked well at all. Very limited dish soap, garbage bags items needed to keep the house clean. Grandson also found cookies and water bottle in a bunk bed. Not good!

Beautiful Vacation Home

We had a group of 13 adults and children on a family vacation and very much enjoyed this home! There was plenty of room to spread out and the kids really enjoyed the arcade and movie theater spaces. It was wonderful to have a living room and dining table that accommodated our whole group so we could be together. The only challenge we ran into was cooking for a group of our size. The kitchen is very spacious and beautiful but we ended up buying items we needed to cook such as cookie sheets and a frying pan. Overall we would definitely stay in this home again!

Great for large groups, perfect for family get togethers

My husband and I rented the house for our family we have 5 adult kids who also have kids. We all had plenty of room in the home and the kids had a great time in the game room and in the home theater. The home itself was set up perfectly for this. The location was convenient, close to anything Disney and only 30-40 mins to Legoland. There was plenty of stores and restaurants close by. The house was clean, neat, nicely decorated and had just enough towels. Although the house is set up for large gatherings or for 10 plus guest, the kitchen is lacking basic pots and pans to cook for large groups. There is one frying pan that is not big enough to make breakfast for 10+ people. So it takes a lot longer when you have to make something as simple as scrambled eggs 3 times because you don’t have a large enough pan to do it all the first time. There is no dish soap and they only provided 1 dishwasher pod per day. We stay in a lot of vacation rentals and most leave simple things like salt, pepper, seasoning and pan spray for the next guest to use (if they want) this house doesn’t have any of that you will need to buy everything. The only real (minor) issues we had we instantly replied to our confirmation email explaining that grills were not included there was an additional fee for that. We paid and we’re told that one would be provided. We checked in late and by day 2 we realized the grill was not provided, this was 12 in the afternoon. I reached out to the management company they said it would the next morning before we could get one so we saved the plans for the cookout for the following day. That day came and went and no grill was delivered as promised, we called again and was told it would be the following day, the next morning I called again to be told that they usually drop them off in the afternoon. By the time we got it we were 5 days into a 7 day stay. I left my laptop at the property I realized the day we left I called and they were going to ck with cleaners, I didn’t hear back the next day (Mon) I called they messaged me to say they didn’t find it. I replied I knew exactly where it was left. They then found it. They were dropping it to a UPS store to ship at my expense. It took 5 days for them to do that. I tried to get UPS to pick it it up from them but they would let me do that. I realize it was my fault for leaving it but they didn’t seem to care that I had to wait 5 days for them to drop it off when I could have had it picked up.

Wonderful Property!

This is house is amazing! So much to do inside and out! We loved the gated community and enjoyed the resort's pool as well! The house was very clean and well maintained. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone and would stay here again!

Kids loved holidays in theme rooms

My sister invited me there over the holidays and I can say it’s the best holiday I have had so far. The themed kids’ sleeping areas were all my children could ask for. They have been talking about it ever since. The entire place was just amazing.

Great vacation!

Renting this entire home was the best vacation decision we've ever done! We are a large family of 12 and having all these rooms and bathrooms worked great. Only a few of the smaller children had a share a room and the older kids had their own rooms, which I know they loved! It really and truly was a peaceful stay here and both my husband and I had a much needed break.

Green pool water and poor response to the issue was very disappointing.

As a VRBO “frequent flyer”, I have become accustom to leaving positive ratings. Unfortunately, upon our arrival at this beautiful house we found the swimming pool water to be green. Needless to say, our grandchildren were greatly disappointed that the pool was not usable and represented a health hazard. We promptly called Jeeves, the maintenance provider for Stay Villatel to report the issue. We learned that the house keeping personnel had reported the issue earlier in the afternoon. Jeeves indicated that the pool company had been contacted twice about the issue and that it would be addressed. On Sunday, we contacted Stay Villatel where we were told that the pool company is closed on Sunday and pool service was not anticipated. We purchased multiple gallons of shock and added to pool in an attempt to begin cleaning the pool water. On Monday, we contracted Jeeves at 8:00 in the morning and were informed that the pool company does not open until 9:00 but that they would have the pool company provide service. A call at noon to Jeeves revealed that the pool company was not responding to phone calls. Finally, at 4:00PM, the pool company arrived, added a high volume of shock to the pool and changed an extremely dirty filter cartridge. Tuesday morning, the pool company returned to provide additional service and to scrub the pool walls. The pool was finally available for use Tuesday afternoon. We fully understand that maintaining pools in Florida can be a challenge, our issue is that Stay Villatel, Jeeves and the pool company failed to provide prompt corrective action which is rightfully anticipated when renting luxury homes. Stay Villatel did refund the upcharge of $280 for pool and Spa heat as an offer to compensate for their failure to provide the proper level of service. Regarding Ratings, we give the home and its location a five but the lack of prompt service on the pool issue a zero resulting in a rating of 2.5.

Good but not great

The place was nice. Some things didn't work well or at all (AC, coffee machine, LED lights, some of the video games) and the property manager said they would come out a few times but never came. Thank goodness it wasn't a bigger issue but frustrating that we couldn't get someone to come to the house when we asked and they said they would. House itself was great for our group of 18 and the water park was walking distance. The surf thing was cool for the kids but you have to pay extra for it.

The house was amazing! Just like the pictures. Everything was perfect! We loved it so much that we didn’t want to leave so we extended our stay. We rented a house down the street. We will be back again.
