Misrepresented property in Elwood

The property we stayed in was not the same as shown on the Stayz web site. Various items of furniture had been moved around and were in a different room to that shown in the photos. For example the TV cabinet was in the bedroom and not the living room. It could not be accessed so as to view the TV from the bed.There was no free to air TV at all as there was no antenna connected. All TV was via the internet which means viewing TV via an app. The problem here is that buffering occurs as the owners have not installed sufficient download capacity, and the problem just stops while the buffer collects enough data to continue.None of this is disclosed on the Stayz web site.In addition there is no street parking as again the owners have not acquired from the Council a street parking permit. This is also not disclosed, we found out the hard way after receiving a 119 parking fine. Boutique Stays wouldn't do anything about it, even though they admit that it was not disclosed.Cleaning left a lot to be desired, yes the property was cleaned in a fashion, but really not up to standard. The property was described as luxurious and modern, eh no. It has been renovated albeit a very long time ago. It is far from being modern. Dear Russell, thank you for your feedback. I will have the free to air aspect of the tv checked. I was unaware it had stopped working properly. We believe the photos do give a good representation of the property. I would agree the property whilst not modern is very comfortable. You spoke with myself and I could not locate any correspondence advising you to park at anytime on the street unhindered. We never mentioned the property came with a parking permit and would have ensured you had one if it did. We are always happy to have any further cleaning done if requested. We do always aim to have our guests happy with our service and the quality of our properties and apologize if our service and property did not meet your expectations. Kind Regards Myles

Great Apartment!

My partner and I had a great stay at Lalique. Great location and good size for a one bedroom apartment! Courtyard was good for our dog too!

Excellent Property.

We'll come back! Thank you,Boutique Stays, very much for everything. It was greatly appreciated. We had a wonderful stay at Elwood Vautier and will definitely come and stay again when in Melbourne.
