Enjoyed our second stay, looking forward to the third!

We had a wonderful stay in this incredible home. Very comfortable and convenient for our friend group. This house is very upscale and comfortable. The host is very helpful and responsive. We love Woodstock and the area. A easy walk across the street for a wonderful meal at The Red Onion. Thanks Andrew!

Disappointing

Beautiful place on the surface but a little heavy on the notes - "don't use" this or that - which makes it feel overall a little precious and hard to relax. Our issue arose on day 2 of 9 when the AC stopped working meaning in the last week of August the temp was hitting 90+ at night. We reported this issue and someone came by, checked and said that the refrigerant pipes was frozen solid but did not give us a timeline for fixing the issue. And it wasn't fixed. So on day 4 my wife and one of my kids decided it was too uncomfortable and left for home leaving myself and one other who left on day 7. I complained to the owners but they said it could not be fixed in time and offered a free stay as recompense. Which was fine by me - things happen. HOWEVER - when we requested a stay for a specific weekend we were told the place was booked. So we asked for a range of weekends when it would be free and got no response. I then wrote and suggested a part refund should be given as the free stay did not seem to be in the offing and as of today two months on we have yet to receive any response.

Wonderful stay + WFH

Cottonwood was everything we were hoping for and more. Beautifully furnished and decorated home located just a 5 minute drive from downtown Woodstock. Plenty of space allowed me to work-from-home during our time here. Living room is comfy and would make for a cozy environment during a winter stay. The large kitchen is the hub of all activity with a spacious island bar with stools for people to congregate. Having a car is important as the roads are not so hospitable for walking with traffic moving over 40 mph. Fortunately the house is set back considerably and the rear deck faces away from the road so the vibe is tranquil. The property manager was diligent and extremely responsive via text whenever we had questions.

Great Peaceful Stay - Like a Resort

Cottonwood is a beautiful property with thoughtful touches throughout. It's new, clean, peaceful, and a great place to stay near Woodstock and in the Catskills. It presents more like a luxury resort than a rental home, which during COVID is the best of both worlds.

Awesome property

Spotless when we arrived, easy check in and perfect communication with the host! Small group enjoying snowboarding with Hunter Mountain only about a 30 minute drive from the house and a grocery store for supplies just a short drive away as well. The kitchen and loft area is truly the highlight of the house and the perfect gathering spot we spent a good amount of time in!

December 2020 Stay

I stayed at this property for a month working remotely and entertaining various friends. The house is extremely well equipped and perfectly set up for remote work. The property manager was quick to respond on any concerns I had but was not intrusive in any way. I would note as it was not in the listing that one of the two bathrooms is Jack & Jill set up - this worked for my stay but might not for others. Also the house is much closer to Woodstock center than Saugerties (a positive as Woodstock has a lot more to offer!).

Centrally located gem

I could not have picked a better spot to explore the Woodstock/Saugerties area. The house is perfectly located between both towns, and it is absolutely stunning. We took walks in the vast backyard and beyond, admired the artwork, layout, and decor, and felt fortunate to be able to enjoy it all. This home has something for every season, and I hope to return.

Fall Fun

Our group of four had a very comfortable stay at this property. The house was both spacious and cozy, and we especially enjoyed the fireplaces. Convenient to town, we had no problem with check in, and the manager was very responsive. As mentioned in other reviews, the house is beautifully decorated and scrupulously clean.

Fantastic fall getaway

Like many families, we were looking for a long weekend away for a change of scenery. And what a change it was. The house is amazing. Clean and impeccably decorated. The location is superb, very close to restaurants and attractions but far enough removed. The grounds are fantastic, large well manicured yard. The worst part of the trip was when I had to return to my house and I realized my Home’s decor is depressing compared to the rental. We will definitely stay again.

This house should be in Home and Gardens

We Loved everything about this beautiful home the layout, the decor and the privacy ! We will be back and I also highly recommend Karen who came to the house to give us all massages . The red onion restaurant across the street was delicious too . The location was perfect for day trips to The Berkshires, Woodstock and Rhinebeck.

Great place and very close to town

The pictures don't do the house justice and is completely under advertised. Great place for small group of friends/family. House is well decorated and equipped and very close to town. Will definitely be back!

Weekend getawt

Location is conveniently located 2 hours from nyc, great decor and amenities. Super clean and refreshing to stay at. Would definitely come back again.
