This is spacious, clean, has great views, quiet and has several stores and restaurants within walking distance.The ocean views and sounds were magical and although you can’t see the sunset from the balcony, a short ride down the elevator and you will see the best sunsets!Also so many turtles coming in as well Definitely worth staying here

We absolutely loved our stay here! The location was unbeatable. The condo is oceanfront in Maui with prime views of both sunrise and sunset. We even caught a rainbow and watched turtles swimming right from our lanai. The beautiful location made every morning and evening magical.The apartment itself was spotlessly clean, extremely well-stocked, and equipped with great appliances. The AC worked perfectly, and there were also extra fans available for when we wanted additional airflow. We appreciated all the thoughtful touches. There were lots of hangers, closet and drawer space, plenty of pillows, extra linens, and a washer/dryer that made our stay even more comfortable.The pool was wonderful, and we met such kind and friendly people there as well as other VRBO guests. The welcoming atmosphere really made it feel like a community. But there was peace and quiet when we didn’t feel like talking.Every day we woke up happy in this place. Between the gorgeous views, the comfort of the apartment, and the prime location, this was the perfect Maui getaway. The owners are amazing and their professional yet friendly communication gave us confidence in where we were staying.We were staying at this condo during the tropical storm after hurricane Kiko and even though it was occasionally overcast, each day while we were there was sunny and warm in this location. It is a gem and we look forward to going back.

We loved the property! Very clean and had everything we could possibly need. Owners have literally thought of everything! They were even generous in accommodating us with a late check out. We loved the lanai and eating out there each day watching the waves crash in! The king bed was so comfortable with high quality sheets…we slept SO good! Our 17 year old was on the pull out couch and it was fine for a kid/young adult. The body boards and beach chairs came in handy!

We could’ve spent the whole week on the deck looking out over the water at Moloka’i! Very laid back resort, great for just relaxing. Only the sounds of maintenance and landscape workers during the morning/early afternoon hours to contend. Easy access by car to all the goings-on from Lahaina to Kapalua. We’ll be coming back!

This property is even better then described. We were able to watch Whales and Sea turtles from the balcony and the best sunset view. Beach chairs and coolers and such are there along with beach towels. They literally have thought of everything.

The perfect location—the Royal Kahana is a welcome relief from the big resort hotels.

We were mostly pleased with this property. Certainly the view from the lanai was spectacular. The bedding and all furnishings were lovely and very comfortable. The clever walk-through closet allowed ample storage for hanging clothes and allows for privacy in dressing and accessing the bathroom. As a party of 3 we would have appreciated more shelf or drawer storage area in the living room, although there was ample drawer space to share in the bedroom. The kitchen was extremely well supplied for all of our—or anyone’s—needs. Some of the kitchen cupboards were locked. We would have appreciated an extra cupboard for storage of groceries. The owners were extremely helpful with information, and even had the cleaning crew alerted to look for a lost item we noticed after checking out. That was very much appreciated. We highly recommend this rental property.

We loved our stay at Royal Kahana 907! Everything was pretty much as stated in the other reviews! Owners were very responsive and easy to work with from start to finish, making up for whatever lacked. If being honest, the cleaning could have been a little better but honestly the condo being so well stocked made up for it- they really thought of everything! We only wish we could have stayed longer!

Loved this condo for its ocean view and sound of the surf. Quiet location away from the road with a really well equipped kitchen and walking access to a lovely happy hour restaurant on the beach at an adjacent hotel. Lanai is shady all day making it cool in the condo without need for air conditioning.Would definitely come again!W except at night

A perfect week for us in Maui

My husband and I have stayed at the Royal Kahana 3 previous times in different condos each time and at different times in the year. We both agreed that this one bedroom was the best one yet. The condo was clean, had decent upgrades and appliances. The kitchen had everything needed to stay the week and just buy our groceries. The closet had chairs, umbrella, boogie boards and coolers for our beach time. The real perk here was the comfortable bed. It was unexpected that the bed would be as comfortable as our own at home and it really makes a difference when you're staying somewhere else. David and Nancy checked in with us before, during and at the end of our stay. We loved our stay for the week and will definitely plan to stay here again.

TEN OUT OF TEN!

Everything was absolutely perfect during our 9 night stay. The condo has obviously gone through a high-end renovation. Absolutely beautiful custom kitchen with plenty of storage. And it was fully stocked with all necessary kitchenware, as well as spices, garbage bags, paper towels, dish soap, etc. The full sized washer and dryer were new, and extremely efficient. There was even laundry soap available. The bathroom was also beautifully renovated with the same granite top as in the kitchen. Plush and comfortable carpet in the living room and bedroom. We were impressed with the fancy bamboo/wicker (?) curtains in the bedroom and living room. And the furniture throughout the entire condo was incredibly upscale and spectacular! High class, Hawaiian style furniture you would expect in upscale, ritzy homes. The lanai (private balcony) had a million dollar view. During many early mornings, we saw rainbows in the distance, and tons of turtles swimming in the water late afternoons. The entire building was extremely well-taken care of, friendly folks, serene and super clean. Concierge staff always greeted us with warm “aloha’s”. We appreciated the complementary, filtered water cooler in the lobby. The location of the property was perfect. Within less than 10 minutes, we were at the very best restaurants and shopping, and secluded and beautiful beaches. We recommend the Cane & Canue, as well as The Banyan Tree restaurants. Home away from home

I have never seen the ocean, let alone fly in a plane so I started researching Maui years ago. Comparing so many other places to stay, even on other websites, this place came at the top of the list with price, view, accommodations, location, etc. You truly feel like you are house siting for someone! You won’t need to buy pesky things like dish soap, seasonings, sunscreen, rent coolers or beach chairs, they have everything there. On top of that, the view!! You can see turtles from the lanai along with the sunset every night. We felt so comfortable there & we already miss it so much. I hope the owners are proud of this place! You can tell they put so much love and thought into this condo. Mahalo for the greatest experience!

Great little respite!

Easy check in parking is like 18 bucks a night now so be ready. Condo had amazing view and literally everything you could need. Kitchen well equipped and beach umbrella was a must. I am partial to the kahana area and this one didnt disappoint. Unless you have small children it might be a bit tight for 4, but it was perfect for us. Ive been lots of times to this area and would do this one again. Bedroom being ocean front was important to me, and even in september you get a great wind tunnel through the condo so we really never used the air. The doors all had holders on them ro keep them open. Its the little things....

ABOUT DAVID & NANCY LOWERY - Renting our home with VRBO/Home Away is new to us. As a private host we thought we would make it available to guests so others can experience paradise as we have. We live in southern Michigan (Eastern Time Zone). We're both retired, I from a major auto company and wife Nancy from a career as a Registered Nurse at a major Detroit area Hospital. We are blessed with two adult children and four grandchildren. Family is most important in our lives. We love the Royal Kahana Resort for its convenient location with beaches, golf, dinning and exploring. We are close to the excitement of Kaanapali Beach but not in it.

Why the Royal Kahana you might ask? There were many reasons such as the condominiums are air conditioned, it is within walking distance to dining and shopping and the view from our 9th floor lanai is what memories are made of. The Resort location can't be beat. The resort is quiet, and relaxing compared to the mega resorts. The spacious beautiful grounds and pool area are the envy of other condominium resorts. At the others, try to find 4 lounge chairs available. No problem at the Royal Kahana. There is public bus service to the Royal Kahana but we recommend renting a car during your stay so you can fully explore the island as you wish. You are minutes away from more shopping, dining, sightseeing and/or activities than you can imagine not to mention all of the top entertainment on the Island. The on-sight Concierge can help with planning. If you have an afternoon free, the coastal drive north from the resort is stunningly beautiful. Look for that two-track trail leading off the road to that hidden beach. If you are a golfer, famous courses are within minutes. Hiking and snorkel are another option.

The Royal Kahana building is shaped so each condo has ocean views. It is one of few condominiums with central air conditioning. The floor plan of the individual condominium is perfect. Our 1-bedroom unit accommodates 4 people. It's perfect for two couples since the bath area can be closed off from the master bedroom and the living room for privacy. If you have a late sleeper in either the living room or the bedroom, access onto the Lanai can come directly from either room without disturbance. The living room sleeper sofa makes into a Queen size bed. We are on the 9th floor which is above the roof line of the neighboring building. This opens up views of the ocean, West Maui Mountains and the Kapalua Resort area. The views you won't forget. When we are not at the pool, a favorite pastime of ours is to sit on the lanai with a good book and a beverage and admire the island view of Molokai. Molokai is located across an ocean channel, a short 9 miles away. Watch the surfers, kite or sail boarders not to mention the Whales (in season), Sea Turtles and Dolphins at play. Proximity to the ocean is such you'll hear the surf with the windows open as you lie in bed at night. The building is made of concrete so its inherently quiet. We are close enough to the elevators for convenience but far enough, so you won't hear the annoying arrival ding.
