My husband and I reserved the villa for 10 days over Christmas and New Years with our 6 young adult children. Olga arranged for our transportation from and to the airport and they were there and waiting upon our arrival - very easy to find! Unfortunately there was a problem with van, but after a short period of time, we were loaded into another vehicle and on our way. We stopped at a grocery store to pick up some items to have for the next couple of days and arrived at the villa right at dusk.
A previous review mentioned the stairs, and it wasn’t a problem for our group - but there are ALOT of stairs. The house is situated on a hill and is multiple stories, all accessed by an exterior staircase. My husband and I stayed in one of the two 3rd floor bedrooms with a amazing view of the ocean. The other bedrooms are all nice, but were a little dark for our preference. One of the rooms is a stand alone casita with its own bathroom inside the casita, but it’s quite dark and off by itself, surrounded by foliage.
The overall presentation of the house was very clean and the housekeeper did a great job. However, this is a house, in Mexico, with the wildlife that comes with the geographical location. Just keep that in mind if you have never stayed outside of a resort.
The rooftop is AMAZING and we spent most of our time there. One thing however, there were 8 of us and there really is no where to gather and hang out comfortably all at the same time, unless you were at the kitchen table or dining table on the roof.
The pool was not heated, but was turned on when requested, but then we ran out of propane, so had no hot water for a couple days. That was fixed once I figured out the issue and brought it to the property managers attention.
We did pay peak time prices for our stay - and this was an extravagant, once in a lifetime trip and I’m not a high maintenance person, but I did feel the property lacked a few things for the price we paid for our stay. There were no basic pantry items like salt, pepper, spices, a reusable coffee filter or paper towels and we ran out of toilet paper toward the end of our stay. Also there is no satellite TV.
I would stay here again, if I was sharing the cost with other couples and it wasn’t peak time prices. The location is amazing and Olga the owner was very responsive and helpful before and during our stay.
