My roommate and I stayed in this quiet, lovely condo for 2 months. We really enjoyed our stay, and think you will too!
Some notes about our experience:
Pros:
The host is very responsive to any concerns/issues you have, and lives nearby, so he's pretty easy to get a hold of if you need something. For example, the kitchen was lacking a few things when we arrived, and when we told the host about it, he immediately ordered everything we needed.
The location is excellent! The apartment is on a high floor, so we had a great view of the city and the mountains (and the Denver clock tower which is lit at night). We were a 5-10min walk from lots of restaurants, shopping, and attractions like 16th Street Mall, Union Station, and Coors Field. It was also easy to get into the mountains since we had great access to I-25.
The in-building gym has expansive facilities including a LOT of workout machines and weights, a racketball court, a tennis/basketball court, a running track, and even a sauna.
The master bedroom is huge, and so is its closet! The guest room is roomy too, though a little scarce on furniture.
The couch is ridiculously comfortable; I almost lived on it our entire stay. And the kitchen table has an extendable leaf so you can seat 4+ people at it or make it a large workspace.
The water gets hot really fast, which was great for both showers and washing dishes (when we didn't use the dishwasher).
Cons:
The building is on the older side, and several other condos were under renovation during our stay. This wasn't too much of a problem, but we did experience some construction noise and a few water shutoffs.
The swimming pool and hot tub were closed for renovation while we were there. If access is important to you, I’d check if they’ve reopened before you book.
The apartment also shows some signs of age, like the carpets, though it's definitely had renovations over time and is overall nice. The doors on both bedrooms tended to stick, especially the Master’s French doors, which made for some noisy entries and exits at night.
The closet in the guest room has fully built in shelves and no hanging space, but there are several other closets you can use instead.
The fireplace is wood burning. Be prepared to find wood for it and to risk setting off the touchy smoke alarm.
More of a heads up than a con really, but Denver has relatively hard water, so there can be lime deposits on the faucets and the shower and washing machine don’t work well with all soaps
