Cosy cottage

Dee is an extremely welcoming and generous host and the cottage has everything you could possibly need. We loved our stay at Possumbrook Cottage.

Possum Brook Cottage

Set in an idealistic quiet area, so peaceful, an ideal base for day tours. Very comfortable with all needs covered, cant praise this place enough, will definitely be going back again.

Wonderful cosy stay

Deirdre was generous and accomodating with our late booking. Kids loved the cosy house and calf and pony. Platypus in the creek was a great bonus. A great stay in a lovely house

Fantastic!

We had a great time here Dee is a charming and thoughtful hostess Feeding the possums was a real highlight for us as well as being able to bring along our small dog who Dee made to feel very welcome. Look forward to staying here again!!

Gorgeous cosy cabin, ample quality breakfast provisions, great heating, comfortable beds with plenty of warm bedding. Sauna was a unique experience. Owner was lovely, showing us around, letting kids interact with animals (farm animals & feeding native wildlife). Wonderful property, thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Very relaxing. A convenient location too

Very clean and tidy. Fantastic fire (goodness we needed it with the temps at the moment). We even got to see the elusive platypus!

A country haven in the Huon Valley

Possumbrook Cottage is a wonderful to stay at - a very generous host, stocked with delightful fresh goodies for breakfast, lovely peaceful location and excellent for kids - our youngest loved exploring the garden, brook and seeing some native wildlife. Would definitely stay here again when in the area. Thanks!

A wonderful experience in a wonderful place! We’ve been here a month while moving and loved it! The brook, the cottage, Dee’s friendly hosting and the garden are all just what we needed. Truly beautiful and calming surrounds and a lovely seat by the fire.The cottage has full facilities with an excellent kitchen and everything to let us get on with daily life while staying. Check-in was smooth and welcoming with nothing too much trouble. Highly recommended!PS - the most dog friendly place ever, even for our large and rambunctious girl.

A special place

We enjoyed our 2 night stay in Possumbrook Cottage. The cottage was spotless and comfortable, and Dee was generous with her time and provisions in the cottage. The location is beautiful and peaceful and it was very special to visit several platypus after dark. Thanks Dee for a wonderful stay.

Cosy cottage

Very attentive host who kindly bought vegan supplies for us. She even offered to look after our greyhound if we wanted to go somewhere that wasn't dog friendly.

A beautiful place, warm and easy to get along with, just like our hosts. They showed us their wonderful wild life, including platypuses. Dee and Donny also shared their wonderful pets and saved animals, especially Poppet the orphaned calf.

Absolutely best place we could have booked for a family holiday! Dee was absolutely lovely and her idealic property, with wildlife and farm animals was just magical. The house was cozy and clean. I will never forget watching the platypus play at night or watching my kids fall in love with Poppet, the baby cow. I hope we can come back one day.

A beautifully, scenic cottage in a tranquil setting by a babbling brook. Surrounded by mountains and curious well cared for animals. “How I’ll miss you poppet the calf”. Thank You Dee and Mandy Moo for making us feel very welcome and cared for over our two night stay 😊

Check in we were told what we can and cant do which I understand but this I'd never experienced, told the wood for the fire is expensive try not to have a fire. The house is straight out of the 70s, dark interiors made the place feel depressing. Nik naks everywhere, bathroom sink and unit smelt damp, We couldnt wait to leave.The only positive was that dogs were allowed.

Tranquil Setting

This cottage was in a beautiful place, very peaceful and perfect for getting away from the business of suburban life. The host was very friendly and helpful and supplied an abundance of refreshments. It was close to the attractions of the south of Tasmania and the cottage had all the facilities to allow for a comfortable stay.
