We were absolutely appalled at the condition when we checked in, and we’re surprised since we got a text message saying that the cleaning crew had finished early in case we wished to check in prior to our original scheduled time of 4PM.
The sheets on the master were hairy, sandy, bloody, and just gross. We noticed tons of hair and sand all over the floor, table, countertops, basically everywhere. I messaged the number we had on file and this is the response i initially received:

That wasn’t going to do, so I called and they said they’d have the local manager get in touch within the hour. An hour came and went, so around the 90 minute mark, I called again. The person that answered the phone said again that they’d have someone contact me within the hour. The local manager called me back and had the house cleaner come back (implying that it was ever cleaned to begin with). She was there in around 30 minutes and we asked her to address the sheets and hard surfaces since they were so dirty. She swapped out the sheets but as far as the floors, counter, and table, all she did was move the dirt around. She had a damp mop, but didn’t vacuum or sweep up all the debris before mopping the dust and hair all around. The carpet was badly stained, the walls had several huge scratches and the slider, screen, and windows were difficult to open, so nobody is properly maintaining this home.
Look-I get that it’s a dog friendly house, but the hair of all dog visitors from the past should not be evident to the next guest.
We were very underwhelmed by our first Vacasa experience and the lack of response, or sense or urgency to our reasonable request of having a clean home to enjoy for the week. I would not recommend Vacasa or this particular home.
