We had a great weekend away. The location was excellent with an easy walk to the beach and the house itself was very comfortable, functional and with great views. Fee our host was great and communicated well. Thanks for making our stay easy.

We really enjoyed our stay at The boathouse. It has wonderful character which is hard to find these days but also great views and great personal / luxury touches by the owners.

Lovely house and very welcoming hosts. We loved the open fire in the evening and windy walks on the beach during the day.

Delightful

Just a delightful property. Suitable for 2 families (or in our case 3 generations) the house has everything you could possibly need. It's modern, cosy, warm, close to the beach, private and has a fantastic view. They have thought of everything you might want on holidays and made sure it is stocked in the house. My only regret is not staying longer. We had a fantastic time.

Ideal spot and views are amazing

House is well fitted out with activities such as games and books etc however some major things need to be replaced Ie the couch and chairs in lounge . The couch is really past its use by date and so uncomfortable we sat at the table the whole time. Comfortable seating would allow you to lounge around comfortably. Unable to do this with current seating options. Made staying at home a little less appealing

Great house for our group of 7 friends. Plenty of room inside and out. Well stocked kitchen. Plenty of games, magazines and sporting equipment in house to entertain us. View from deck relaxing, great sunsets. Already planning next visit. Cheers

Great property but booking process with Stayz a nightmare.

The house is well located, clean, comfortable and has all amenities one would require. Fee, the property manager was fantastic to deal with but the booking process with Stayz was unnecessarily complicated and vague.

Girls weekend away

Highly recommend this well appointed property for a holiday or weekend stay. We had a lovely time relaxing in the surrounds of the house and had a beautiful view looking out to seven mile beach from the living area and verandah. Thank you.

Lovely weekend

We had a lovely 3 day weekend - house is warm and very well appointed, everything you need is there and appreciated the personal touches of being met at check in and some lovely homemade jam etc. great views from balcony and a stones throw from the beach. We will be back.

Seaside getaway

We (hubby, fellow mum, three teenage boys & younger brother) had a lovely stay at The Boat House in Gerroa. The house was roomy, clean, well equiped, comfy and has a gorgeous view of the beach and ocean. Loved relaxing on the deck chairs on the deck, listening to the ocean waves and taking in the ocean views. The boys loved the ping pong table. Wished we could have stayed for longer. Thank you Fee, we enjoyed our getaway at the Boat House.

The host was there when we got to the property to meet with me Which was really nice.

Great location very close to the beach an great views. Played lots of games an table tennis had an amazing time. The house was very clean an spacious. Can’t wait to go again. It was also great that it was dog friendly.

Loved our stay. Perfect location and house for a relaxed beachside break over Christmas.

Great experience. Mick was incredibly helpful. Only improvement - a few Christmas decorations would have been nice and maybe a few more tea towels. That’s it!

Location of the property is good and the owner seems friendly, however please be wary when booking with summerbell. After we checked out of the property the owner claimed that "we had damaged a wall as someone had used a skateboard downstairs." This clearly had not been us and after a phone call the owner informed us that they had made "their decision" to retain our full bond. He would fix the wall himself and that was the end of it. My tip to prospective tenants would be to ensure you do a proper check of the house before entering, take pictures of any pre-existing damage, as the owner will claim it on you if you have missed it. Hopefully Stayz can help with this matter as it seems very unfair and strange that it can be managed in such a manner.

Dear Koenraad Moltmaker We understand that sometimes accidents can happen and when our guests let us know we always work something out However, unfortunately, if the home is damaged in a serious way we will take photos, report and discuss and if necessary then retain funds to cover the expense of repairing and making good the property before new guests arrive. We want the properties to be well appointed, clean and looked after for each guest always. We try to have everything at The Boat House or other Summerbell properties to be great memory making experiences. As such, at Summerbell everyone and everything is accountable - our guests are greeted by our manager who inspects the property prior to arrival and post departure (in addition to our cleaning team) to ensure that everything is in order and well maintained for each guest, for each booking, every single time. We have an expectation that the properties are to be looked after and treated with respect as a home. Checking the property is a good idea (like hiring a car!) so guests please look around when you arrive to make sure everything is great. It is profoundly disappointing to be an owner and a victim then to receive one star, through no fault of our own, thus being penalised and made to feel like a perpetrator. (think about it) However, the majority of our holiday makers are great people who are respectful and responsible. Many are repeat guests and we feel proud of consistently receiving 5 * ratings and thank those guests

Peaceful break at Gerroa

We loved our peaceful break at this beautiful, quite town. The view from the home is lovely, the stroll to the beach very relaxed, and Gerroa does not have the same school holiday crowds as other nearby towns yet is just a short drive from Gerringong. The home itself is lovely and very comfortable, with lots of beach equipment etc available for use. Property manager, Mick, was very welcoming and helpful.

Absolutely beautiful. Clean, welcoming and so relaxing!

The Boathouse is a wonderful place to stay. It’s so close to the beach and a short drive to Gerringong and Berry. The actual house is modern and beautiful, with incredibly comfortable beds and beautiful linens. The Boathouse is an oasis of relaxation and peace.

The perfect stay

Perfect house for holidays

House had everything you needed for a great holiday with kids of any ages. It had a very well equipped kitchen with many of the basic food supplies already there. Table tennis, skate boards, games and some water toys also. We had two families of 4 sharing the house and thoroughly enjoyed all that Gerroa and the surrounding area had to offer. Thanks Mick we loved it and you were a great host.
